Not sure, may be good for mj consumers who do not wish to grow their own. What will the growers of the future half to pay on their med grows? Kind of hard to calculate that. Im glad it's at point of sale from a club or pot shop because im not letting any future state inspectors decide I should pay a tax on my homegrown. Glad this doesnt affect me but could it in the future?
These guys want the money, just dont knock on my door.

i would assume the tax would be at the retail level..like beer or cigarettes.

you cant {easily or accurately} tax home brewers, i imagine the same would hold true for homegrowers...though im sure the line is easier to cross for us vs them

In many ways we pay our tax by what our hobbies consume. Quality soil, lamps and ballasts. We spend plenty on our grow and make our local economy thrive because of it.

For those who do not wish to grow. They can pay their tax at the local pot store.

home beer you can do 200gal before you have to pay tax. and it's on good faith thing. tobacco i dont know how much you can grow

mj i have no clue. maybe a good faith thing too (+license maybe) but i'd pay a nominal $50 of $75 per plant ... i know that would still make it about $40 an oz cost to me in the end. WELL WORTH IT TO ME

and not having to pick up those 53 million plants; would save some revenue.

The drug lords who are selling ounces for triple figure sums; will not be happy with the govt $50 price tag.

Or is that a lump sum tax on top of the criminal price system, that everyone uses as a benchmark for the value of mj?

It's good news, revenue raising as a motive, will move the legalise mj ball along quicker; than any claims of social or medical benefits. The people can be unhappy and die; but when Arnie needs a new Hummer? lol nigel
