If I had a 700 plant grow op in a state that has medicinal use (also isn't it decriminalized?) there's a real good chance I could of pursuaded Officer Trim to quitely GET THE EFF OUT OF MY HOUSE! Assuming they only got 1 oz off each plant that would be over 43 lbs.. at the cheap price of $2800/lbs thats over 122k... more then that cop makes in 3 years!

Sorry, TheOriginal ... a reality check on this story. Nothing I read in this article indicates these people were growing for "medicinal use", and even if that was their intention, the law is a Federal law (i.e. cultivation/possession/distribution of MJ is illegal) and no, MJ is not decriminalized. More disturbing ... 700 plants?? No judgement, but, really ... who could have "that much" for personal consumption?? And while we're @ it, let's not even address the firearms possession ...

I agree with Nelson 100%. These people are growing to take advantage of an inflated black market price for huge profits. Exploitation no different than financial, automobile and hedge fund industry executives.

There is, in my opinion, a world of difference between a medical or even a personal grow versus a grow like that. They should have gotten a real job. They might even still have it in this economy if they work hard.

Oh well,

Not sure if you could call this carpetbagging with weed but I dont see it as explotation unless they were stealing electricity or some other unlawfull act that led to their door. Exploitation in the sense that they are breaking the law for the sake of big profits. Nothing wrong with that in the context that it's pot were talking about and not meth or some other destructive substance which takes lives.
Drug execs make bank on a bunch of useless crap and you dont see them being carted away to jail.
Not the greatest of ideas trying to run an op of those proportions at one location in the first place. They should have been more careful and spread the grows between several houses.
I dont make any money selling weed but that doesnt mean I think poorly of others who wish to make it their lifes ambition, more power to them. I hope the courts take it easy on them.

Mazrim, [they] did have a "real" job.
Running three houses with a total of 700 plants is a lot of work and a very real job.

Will you rather smoke shit that comes from overseas?
Not all stoner's grow, you know, and the majority don't live in a mmj states or qualify for a mmj card.

If growing was legal in US [they] would have been called, farmers.

I agree mostly with you Swordfish.
But I only support those who sell it with good
intentions as their own independent livelihood. Not those who do it for the benefit
of organizations or gangs.

Oh they were.

Farmers that could probably give these "real" farmers a run for their money.
