Yesterday sucked. Apparently the DEA deputised the Sheriffs and they got to wear the ninja masks as they shut down collectives all over the county. DA says raid targeted illegal marijuana sales

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just sad. The DEA will just not stay the fuck out of CA's business although in this case it looks like SD authorities invited them in. Of course these places are run by drug dealers...but so are pharmacies.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The owner of the club I know is a local business man about 50 years old. As far as I know he's lived here all his life. His philosphy is that he was doing the locals a favor by providing medicine for those in need and allowing locals to bring in thier extras. He was doing the right thing. He ran his place real strict. Yes, it's our Bonnie Dumas the DA that is behind all of this. She says she was a juvenile judge for 5 years and all the drug problems that she saw started with MJ. What a crock, how many of those kids drank alcohol before mj? I bet 99%.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | And that gives her the right to go nazi on legit, legal business? Is the full story out yet? I have heard it was for selling to an undercover cop who was not a member of the clubs even though he had paperwork? I am not familiar with the exact CA laws but if that is true it sure sounds like straight up intimidation...that old we cannot convict them but we can cost them a bunch. I recall an anti-cocaine ad back in the day. Jist of it was they gave monkeys coke and then gave them a choice between coke, food and sex...the monkeys chose coke. I watched that and thought damn I love sex and food..coke must be great. Went right out and tried it. It is not better than sex, another lie my govt told me. I think those lies are what lead some of us to try harder things. They tell us how bad mj is in school, church, etc. Then we try it anyway and wait a minute...no way is this as bad as alcohol or cigs. I think every single person that tries it comes to that conclusion pretty quick. So...wonder what else they lied about, maybe meth. After that 4th or 5th night wide awake...maybe they didn't lie about that one ![]() Anyways...your DA is cunt CT.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, listen to the bullshit she's talking about in this story. She's accusing them of making a profit. The point is that until they go through all the books with a fine tooth comb they don't know if the collective was making a profit or not.. NOW do they need to shut them down and confiscate thier cash and firearms to look at thier books.... NO, it's just an excuse to employ those nazi scare tactics that they love to push around. I've discussed this "not for profit" status with one of the collective owners that got popped. If he was telling me the truth.. he was taking a salary as the CEO of the not for profit organization and the average salary for a CEO of a not for profit is $150k a year. WOW that sounds like a lot of money.... Yeah, if you live in Indiana. This is SoCal and $100k per year for a family is bearly over the poverty line. You can't rent a 4 bedroom house here for under $30k per year. Anyway, so that was his story, that he was keeping it a non-profit and taking a salary.. That's fair, Right? The guy is there all day every day.. How's he supposed to pay his debts and feed his family? The dude was real strict too. Belive it or not... I ran out of weed one day. I went there in the morning and told him I wanted an oz but wanted to try it first. I bought a few grams and went home and tried it. Later in the afternoon (when I could drive again ) I went back to pick up my oz and he wouldn't let me in. He said he wasn't allowed to let members in more than once a day. So maybe they got him on buying from an undercover or something, or maybe he just wouldn't give up his sources when they raided him, I don't know... maybe they got nothin and just want to force these guys out of business by holding them up in court for 10 months. So all the patients here go back to your street dealers to get your meds. Oh, tellem not to be too loud, or cause too much vandalism or crime in the neighborhood or they'll send the IRS after them ![]() I hope the public here gets a clue of what kind of person they are paying to be thier DA and gets rid of her..... she's full of crap. Here's the link Sacto 9-1-1: 23 arrested, $70,000 seized in San Diego pot dispensary busts Here's the story September 10, 2009 23 arrested, $70,000 seized in San Diego pot dispensary busts Bee Staff San Diego County authorities announced today that they have arrested 23 people, seized $70,000 in cash and shut down 14 marijuana dispensaries that were "operating under the guise of selling marijuana and marijuana-laced products for medicinal purposes." "Like most San Diegans, I support the use of legitimate and legal medical marijuana use," said San Diego District Attorney Bonnie M. Dumanis. "However, it appears these so-called marijuana dispensaries are nothing more than for-profit storefront drug dealing operations run by drug dealers hiding behind the state's medical marijuana law." She said 23 people were arrested as the result of a four-month undercover investigation, involving multiple law enforcement agencies. More arrests are possible, she said. More than $70,000 in cash and six firearms also were seized, she said. The 14 dispensaries and six residences that were searched are in San Diego and the surrounding area, she said. Possible charges include the sale and possession for sale of marijuana, conspiracy and firearms offenses, she said. Those charges carry a maximum of penalty of up to four years in prison. She said for-profit marijuana dispensaries are not legal according to state law and the State Attorney General's published guidelines. The AG's guidelines on medical marijuana allow non-profit collectives and cooperatives that cultivate marijuana to serve their legitimate patients if they follow rules, which include acquiring marijuana only from their members and reimbursing only reasonable costs like out-of-pocket expenses, she said. (For a recent Bee story about pot dispensaries, click here.) "We have not, and will not prosecute people who are legitimately and legally using medical marijuana," Dumanis said. "It's a shame that a few illegal drug dealers are trampling on the compassion shown by voters in passing California's medical marijuana law." An initial review of the records at one dispensary reveals that more than $700,000 in income was generated in the past six months through the selling of marijuana and marijuana-laced products, she said. Other law enforcement involved in the operation are the U.S. Attorney's Office for San Diego, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, the San Diego Sheriff's Department, the San Diego Police Department and the San Diego Narcotics Task Force, according to a news release.

Yeah I wouldn't like it if I saw some thug-types running a club and I wouldn't go back there, but... I did meet a nice foreigner up in LA running a club, in fact, that day I went to about 10 locations and he was the only cool guy I met all day... the only guy that would have a conversation with me. He was some kind of Middle Eastern.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here was a good article that brought up some good points. SAN DIEGO --- Americans for Safe Access (ASA), the nationwide patients' rights advocacy organization, received reports?Wednesday of several medical marijuana raids in the San Diego area by federal and local law enforcement. The raids by the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the San Diego Sheriff's Department, with the support of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), occurred only a day after the San Diego City Council voted 6-1 to implement a medical marijuana task force to help the city draft local laws. "Not only does the federal government have no place helping to enforce state and local medical marijuana laws," said ASA California Director Don Duncan. "Local officials must regulate medical marijuana and enforce those laws with civil actions, not with the barrel of a gun." According to local media, the raids were part of an ongoing investigation involving San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, a notorious opponent of medical marijuana. "It is incumbent on District Attorney Dumanis to help pass local regulations in San Diego not to aggressively undermine safe access to medical marijuana," continued Duncan. Law enforcement was reported handcuffing and detaining several people on the scene of more than a half dozen raids. In typical fashion for such raids, medical marijuana, cash and other property has been seized. No violations have been alleged at this time. For years, safe access to medical marijuana in San Diego has been resisted by local officials, repeatedly calling on the federal government to conduct raids. In 2007 and 2008, continued federal and local raids forced the closure of more than 20 medical marijuana dispensing collectives. However, after the California Attorney General issued medical marijuana guidelines in August 2008, recognizing the legality of dispensing collectives, medical marijuana providers began operating again in San Diego. Two weeks ago, the California Senate voted 23-15 on a resolution urging the federal government to end medical marijuana raids and to "create a comprehensive federal medical marijuana policy that ensures safe and legal access to any patient that would benefit from it." Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 14, introduced in June by State Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) seeks to keep local enforcement in the hands of local officials and calls on Congress and the President to move forward with a new federal policy on medical marijuana. Despite a presidential campaign promise made by Barack Obama, that he will not "be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws," federal raids have continued under his Administration. "It's of utmost importance that the Obama Administration give deference to local officials to implement local and state medical marijuana laws," continued Duncan.
