That show wasn't about opening the eyes of the American population in the case of mmj use and acceptance of the people that using it, it was all about showing the world how much money are been made illegally and to give a reason to the feds to show how the local state authority's do nothing about it, giving them a good cause to replace many of them and move in and start busting heads.

Lets not forget the day after the show aired, were quite few busts in that area.

The emerald triangle its been exposed and many fled town cause of that.

Now its becoming heaven to growers with guns, not bongs.

Another successful use of the corrupt media by the fed US gov.

Its sad to me that our government is doing this. It seems is all good for drug lords with guns. It really makes me sick. I watch every show that comes on. little info is better than none.

I was going to stay out of this thread, but its a quiet day and I had a few free minutes.

Frankly, I found this report to be both biased and slanted AGAINST da herb. The reporter, imo, used many leading and loaded questions when speaking to both the local police and the DEA to make it appear that the area was filled with criminals and that the police were not properly enforcing the law. Far from being positive, the impression I was left with was that the reporter was opposed to weed in general (she never said if she had inhaled or not), and that anyone growing, for any reason, should be prosecuted.

For my money, I thought the recent documentary about growing in BC called "The Union" was much more balanced. I found it interesting that while both documentaries were interested in the business of growing weed, Marijuana Inc was mostly focused on all of the illegal revenues being generated, while The Union started off by asking some fundamental questions such as "Is the prohibition working?" "What exactly is the damage being caused, and by whom", and "Where can we go from here"?

Perhaps, and with due respect to all of my American growing brothers south of the border, the two documentaries provide a micro example of the difference between how Canadians and Americans view the growing, and selling, of da herb .
