we had something similar to what you said island.
in our study hall room, our teacher mrs k, always has flowers growing with just some regular lights n all. well one day, one of my buddies just threw two beaners in one of her pots. and well when we came back from the weekend a sprout came up. then one day it got to about a foot tall, then she noticed. waste of a plant? yes. but it was hilarious at the time!
