The photographs tell the story. A two-year-old boy is forced to inhale marijuana smoke. After looking at the pictures, police arrested the boy's mother and her boyfriend.

Eighteen-year-old Kristin Brewster and 22-year-old George Lavare are charged with endangering the welfare of a child. They are both in jail.

The woman who turned the couple into police calls the incident traumatizing. “He could have died in there. He could have went into seizures, anything.”

The photographs are shocking. Destiny Haust took them herself, stunned at what was going on in her own home. She said, “They seen the reaction on my face and she asked me, ‘Don’t you smoke weed with your kids?’ and I said no. And she said, ‘Why not? It puts them to sleep and calms them down,’”

Haust says Kristin Brewster was a friend who was staying with her at her mobile home George Lavarein Seneca Falls. But she says she had never seen her treat her two-year-old boy or her six-month-old baby, like this.

The photos show Brewster and her boyfriend George Lavare forcing her little boy to smoke at times, even blowing it into his mouth.

Haust says as Brewster did that, the little boy tried to push her away. She says he just wanted attention. “All he wanted was to be held. He just kept saying mommy, hold me, mommy, hold me and she kept pushing him away.”

Kristin Brewster the manager of mobile home park says Brewster is not allowed to come back.

She calls the photos devastating. “I had to print the pictures for the State Troopers and I was like, “Oh my God’!”

Haust says right after she took them, she drove to see the state police who arrested Brewster and Lavare but Haust is concerned that the damage has already been done. “That little boy put it to his mouth and was smoking it like he was an adult and knew what he was doing. It was sad.”

Those people deserve whatever jail time they get...and sad to say they should probably NOT be raising kids. The neighbor overreacted with the whole " he could have died!" thing but that in no way mitigates their ignorance. Incidents like this will only go to keep cannabis prohibition in full effect. Short version : These people are fucking assholes.

......right. Cos we all know that MJ is so perfect, it has never been linked to changes in the brain (well, it has- you get high. What does the "high" do to a toddlers' mind?)

Plus, no toddler has ever overdosed on MJ. (well, actually, they have.There have been toddler deaths due to MJ. Even NORML admits it.)

And, of course, MJ is perfect, so there is no problem with second-hand smoke, much less blowing it into their throat. (Well, actually, what about the particulate matter, if nothing else? It is SMOKE after all)

there is no chance on hurting a child thru use of MJ......cos MJ is perfect, it cures everything.
right. it's all a big conspiracy to keep 2-year olds from the wonders of getting high. If the Government would only get out of the way, we could all smoke with our 2 year olds.

We're talking about an age group that has to have it's own way-watered down medicines.....baby aspirin, baby cough syrup, baby strength shots, but there is not the slightest chance the little guy could be hurt by MJ.

I researched it again. The original deaths came from a paper written by a Dr. Gurley. Evidently, she later reversed herself, when she discovered that the deaths included other OTC and in some cases illegal drugs as well as MJ. My bad for quoting from an old paper.

However, NORML still says that MJ is not for children, they just don't believe in arresting adults who use it responsibly just to keep it out of the hands of children.

What I object to, and always have, whether I was using MJ or not, is the 2 extremes.
1 side says it is EVIL and HORRIBLE.
the other says it is PERFECT and CURES EVERYTHING.

When the truth is in between. I'll never be the one to support either side of an extreme viewpoint. Usually I get blasted from both sides.

But if you post on a MJ board, better say that it is perfect. No-one seems to want to meet anywhere in the middle.
Blowing smoke into a toddler's mouth is no good, not even if you let them hold the bong and smoke it themselves.

but as long as we're on the subject of whether a toddler can be hurt by smoking MJ, or worse yet getting the smoke blown into their lungs, how many are you that are parents would let your 2-yr old smoke/vape? Not force them too, but let them if they saw you doing it and wanted some?After all, no way can they be hurt by it.........
