![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | aim for 50w psf of HID lighing. a wide spectrum HPS like the Son T+ would be best. your 80w of flouros will make a great cloning light, but a very poor growing light and will be completely inadequate for growing in that space. ![]() | but would it help if I added another 80w of the same thing I already have? and do they even make hps or hid bulbs for the fixture I already have? I doubt it but even so the people in here said fluoros would work for growing anyways

![]() | yeah, fluros will work but you will need more of them. your best bet is to do like hydroSan said and go for an HPS. you can get a 150 watter at lowes for under 100 bucks or you can buy off ebay and find a great deal ( i just picked up a 250 hps for 80 shipped) again though, you can use fluros. harvest will suffer in quality and quantity but you can stil have a harvest. I use the CF's with better results then the tubes though and you can get more of them in a tight spot

![]() | how do you mean- do they even make hps or hid bulbs for the fixture I already have? do you have an HID fixture already? if so then yeah. If not and you just wanna put it in a normal socket then no will the extra 80 watts help? sure it will help. may even be enough light for one plant to go into flower but wouldnt try it on 2

![]() | You know the saying it takes money to make money? Well it takes money to make bud. Basically your pissing in the wind with the flour's. I tried it years ago with 8 48" fixtures fitted with two grow lights each (not cool white) and about all it produced was some tall, spindly, mostly male plants with a few females with a few flowers here and there with no bud to speak of! You would be better off with a couple $30 envirolights or a cheap HPS from HD or lowes.
