Yo man, love the tube I have had nothing but heat problems in the past and I am going to build one this weekend but the thing is the glass.....Whats the deal with the glass, pyrex? or somthing?.....Well anyways I have 1000W buld and it's killa hot, do you think I could withstand the heat without cracking...

I haven't got one but from what I have herd with the fan blowing the glass doen't get that hot + the glass is temperd.

ok i went back to k-mart and found this 1 alot bigger and (thinks ,sky) it was in the marta-stewart part over at the candels here is a pic of the 2

here is the top and how i got it to stay in place for me , some1 hangeing one harizonal would have two cross the braces up or do something else just a idear

Glad to see that you found it there. It works out pretty good once its all hooked up. You really can't beat these things for heat reduction. And its so easy to put together when you get the parts you need. Let us know how it works

skynestor i have a 400w hps light and im making a cool tube. does that 265cfm fan work fine or should i go with a 465cfm cage fan. my light will be in a 2x2x4' box.

The 265 will work fine, but the more airflow the cooler it will be...

Great job butterbean, that how i wanted to do it, but i dont want my glass cover to curve, i want to find a cylindrical one...
