 | i always wondered...wutz the difference between the "air-cooled shade" and the "kool tube" design? at growsystems.com for example the kool tube is more expensive....duz this mean itz better?  thinkin bout gettin an air-cooled HPS system, but if the kool tube is worth the money i'll just get that instead  | ||

| Kool tube is better because its kind of like an enviroment around the bulb which allows u to control the heat perfectly Aircooled hood is just a normal hood with glass covering the open end - and fans sucking air through Same concept just not as effective | ||

| Theres square computer fans and round ducting fans available from many places .. u attach them to ducting .. then attack the ducting to the kooltube and walla !! | ||

| hell no man, this would elinimate basicly all the ' HEAT ' in the grow room. you have humididty high cos your probably got a DWC or just dot enough venting.

Where I live it is so tropical. The humidity in my grow room is so high because of ventilation the air comming in is full of water, I need that heavy ventilation to keep things cool. I have been thinking about reducing ventilation, and putting the tubes air intake above my dehumidifiyer in the grow room, but the air from the dehumidifyer is hot. I'll have to work out a plan that tube is just what I need . Thanks for this great thread Knore.  | ||

| no problem crabs  Im still searching for the glass - Ill let u'se know what i find The mad thing about a kool tube is u can also fit more lights into a smaller area think 2 lights each with its own reflector takes up a fair amount of room ... With a cool tube its only like 6inched thick - So u can fit like 3-4 lights in a 1metre section of kool tube The possibilities are endless - This just opens up so many new things for small-space growers You could even have a 1000w in a small cabinet with a kooltube - whereas without it it would be impossible from the sheer heat | ||
