doctor m is beginning to sprout.

I think that a serious grower like myself would be a fool to ignore the lumen output and CRI of any light source used to produce the dank stanky! Kelvin temp is important , however, CRI in my opinion is crucial to producing the most potent aromatic smoke. Does anyone concur?

Hey ro_ja59,

I think you are ok with that amount of lights for your space. You would be around 3000 lumens per foot roughly. You will want to make sure that the K temp is in the 5000k or higher for your veg stage though. I would add more lights also as you can (I did and do the same thing).

Hey doctor m,

The CRI rating for compact fluoro's are 90% of the time above 82 (anything above 80 is the best CRI, natural light has a rating of 100) HID and HPS are lower in CRI than compact fluoro's (but have there own benefits which surpass compacts capabilities).

Hey icephantom,

Usually the package will say Warm White (which is your 2700k range) or they will say Cool White (which is your 4100k range). I have seen a few that list the Kelvin number but all will state either warm or cool white. You will want the Cool for vegging and the Warm for flowering. All of the compacts except for the ones listed as Mogul base can be screwed into a normal light as long as the wattage of the compact fluoro does not exceed the lights wattage. Buy that I mean the true wattage of the compact fluoro not the equal too wattage.
