![]() | right, I got that part it is 1x2x2 and a half which = 5? cubic ft. total so with all this discussion I will make it work with all the lights, but is it worth using the 15 watt round fluoro? so now that we all figured out who is the expert, feel free guys to ask me anything.. as long as it is multiplication or spelling... smoke on people HG

you've even got me confused now, HG. what 15 watt round floro? and why are you talking in cubic ft. now? You only need to worry about square ft. when figuring out how many lumens you need. --------- Oops, just noticed the part in the end of your post about adding the 15 watt floro... and no u dont need it. with the 4 compacts u got 5,400lumens psf... thats PLENTY. You really dont need anymore then that and you should now start to worry about venting heat since its such a small enclosure.

![]() | well, elzz just mentioned cubic feet, I know total area is LxWxH so I got it figured, but it is actually 5 sq ft. not 4. damn glad we finally got that figured out.. ok only sq.ft and for the 5 it is plenty of light... ? great now to venting.. if I were to put a small computer fan it there and have it blowing with holes drilled into the back would that work? it is just to cover things for a visiter for a month but plan to use it perminately. hey is there any suggestions on how to hang these lights in there for optimum use?ok no 15 watter then... thank for all the good advise and patients with the less knowlegable. HG

Ok, lets get a few things straight... your cabinet is 2feet X 1foot X 2.5feet tall... right? area is squared volume is cubed the area of your cabinet's bottom is 2 square feet (LxW) the volume of your cabinet is 5 cubic feet (LxWxH) disregard volume because it doesnt matter for lumens. all you need to care about is area. When you get into venting, then you worry about volume... that way you can figure out how much of the air is actually getting moved.

![]() | I'll jump right on back in... Wicked is right... there is no need to worry about cubic feet (ie. LxWxH) unless you are looking at a vent for your cabinet. When measuring for lumens just worry about square feet (ie. LxW). So, you have 10800 lumens (2700x4). You have 2 sqft. That is 5400 lm/sqft. MJ plants can't use much more than 6000-7000 w/o C02 supplementation so you're doing great at 5400. End of story. Glad you to see got into nuclear chemistry and not geometry. (I had to say it... you set yourself up... just kidding though)I hope this helped, Born420

Still have your reciept? ![]() One Fluorex would work nicely for you. Less heat to deal with. btw are those LOAs MegaLites...40w =200w? You could still use those around the house & save on elec. if you do decide to get a Fluorex....which is a better spectrum for vegging. I believe the Megas r 2700k & 2700lm.

![]() | well I never said I was a genious, guess math isn't my best suit huh? ok got it now so I can stop confusing all you poor souls... 2 sq ft is what I have and yes I still have the receipt, and yes they use 45 watt to run with the 200 output, I will use them in my house what I am done. I looked at the fluorox and they weren't as good output as these were and they seemed bulky for the area I needed them in so decided to get them instead... 2x2=5 right.. I have a total of 300 watt HPS in the flower room which is just a bit bigger then this, maybe I should of gotten another one for this..? naa!! thanks you guys are great.. HG

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | HG if you are going to put in computer fans, i would cut a square hole the exact size of the fan in the back of the box, at the top, and have this fan blowing air OUT. Then, cut a hole the same way in the bottom and stick a fan in there blowing IN. probably two 3" fans will do the trick. peace
