? on end of flowering
permalink

i heard something that i thought i would check on.. As we all know 12/12 is the flowering light cycle. I heard that its a good idea to go 24/0 the last day or two of flower. Is it possible to increase the hrs of light the last few days to gain more bud growth without messing anything up?

has anyone tried or know? just curious

I've never heard that, but I've heard the exact opposite many, many times: 24-36 hours darkness prior to harvest. Darkness is when the plant sends starches & sugars and other stuff down to the roots, so is a kind of "pseudo flush".

I don't see how 24 hours light will do anything at all on the last day. Won't hurt it any, tho.

cool.. so when it comes time to harvest i should allow my plants to be in total darkness for the last 1-3days before choppin?

thus creating more crystals and natural flush?

i also plan to put a bucket of ice in front of the fan every night for last few nights, to drop the temp a bit more than usual to create the plant to build more crystals in order to "protect" its flowers
