Af has a 10 sqft grow in soil. One 400w mh and 400w hps . The the deal is that its in a room where someone else sleeps and I cant vent 24hrs only 18. It gets about 90 during the day when I shut down venting. I'm thinking that it only get to 86 or so at night time.I am already taking some space away from this person to their advantage in the long run. I really wish to vent 24 hrs but is it wrong for me to ask this of my friend? Plants thrive here in the summer and it gets over 100 at times, mostly high 90's how much does this amount of heat really matter as long as the plants arent getting burned, or dying of thirst?

This is one that I am in two minds about. On the one hand my heart tells me that my beautiful babies want as much fresh air as possible all the time, but my head says when the light is off, the plant is not photosynthesizing so a supply of fresh air is not too important.
On the subject of heat I've always found that heat in the growroom that has me feeling faint in minutes rarely seem to bother the plants. They give you adequate warning of heat problems anyway, by wilting. Ideally the temperature of the grow should be slighty less in the bloom period than when vegetating, but the plant rarely seems too peturbed even if this is not possible.
Also as your diurnal temperature range is small your internodal length will be minimal so your buds will be more compact. Therefore your 'problem' could even be turned to your advantage.
Anyone else got thoughts on the night venting?

I wouldn't worry as long as the humidity remains fairly constant. I have found my ladies like 85*f as a minimum. The Sativa I am currently working with likes it hot.

As long as moisture is not a problem they will do very well. A small desk size oscillating fan could be used for a bit of air movement during the quiet time. This would be enough to prevent condensation leading to fungus.

I would like to thank you all for your input thus far. BD I do have two circ fans going at all times. I also have fresh air draw from underneath the house and exhaust blowing into the attic as well. I just expanded this room and actually sit in there with my babies. It gets hot up high in there above the lights. Amazing enough it seems that the hps is putting off more heat than the mh. I need to put sheild on hps reflector and vent that, but will be moving before long and cant grow indo for the summer. I am going to get bigger exhaust today to bring that temp down some. Also my friend said that as long as she gets some fat colas that it will be ok to run venting all the time so that is no longer an issue. Thanks again
