![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | IMHO, Sunlight is always better than any kind of artifical light. I mean these manufactures basically use the sun as the spectrum model Unless you have some type of tinting on the windows it will be fine. Even if it did get diffused by the glass I'd doubt that it would be brought down to the level of an HIDJust my .02................ Good Growing LB

| No, no, no...the sunlight you're getting from your window is not direct sunlight. Think of the time of day the sun actually sends direct light thru your window; early morning, and it's of low intensity. At its peak the sun sits at high noon. How much direct light do you think can actually get thru your window at that angle??? none(Just some food for thought). You really can't get a good crop with these light ratios. You'll definitely need more than just window light, for sure. Go with flours or HPS indoor lighting for good results. Peace, Candank | ||

| let me explain my situation alittle better.first i live along some commuter railroad tracks with my southern exposure open.second, ive been classified disabled from a gsw so free time is not a problem for me...what i do is for veg its 24/7 under some floros in the basement..then for my budding i bring them upstairs.sunrise i put them in an eastern exposure, about 8:30 i put the little ladies in a southern exposure and when the time is right i put them in a western exposure.somewhat of a hassle but for me its alot easier than combing te hood looking to kop....i used to put them outside until what i thought was bugs started eating my stuff.then one day i didnt hear my insane german shepard .i went to the back yard and her ears were laid back and she just [lol] looked up at me with thes submissive eyes, obviously i had found my culprit.....so a little word of warning to the pet owners out there. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry candank I disagree with you here. He sounds like he is getting sunlight through a southern window which is directly facing the sun; direct sunlight. Even at this time of year (in my area) at noon, the sun is not at a 90degree angle to my house more like a 45+ angle. If he was on any other side of his house I'd agree with you. But the south side of the will get good sun if it is not being obstructed in anyway.
quote:
How much direct light do you think can actually get thru your window at that angle??? none

Also, Geography has a lot to do with how we are each viewing the suns angle for this time of year. If it wasn't for a massive oak the sun would shine straight into my house. Peace LB

| Still, I disagree. If you want to put it in the sun for limited hour and go back to the flours then that will be fine I'm sure. But this individual had'nt fully explained the situation. Not his fault. Before you call me on a quote, make sure you get the full scope of the topic. Window growing alone is not good enough for cannabis, nor would I recommend it. Candank | ||
