| i have 3 flooresent light fixtures in a 3X3X4.5 foot space(aprox) i plan to grow 4 plants, is the lighting suficiant? i have an additional halogen 275 watt lamp, but i think that that would be overkill, and i dont want to charge much on the power bill! also the closet isnt that high so i think the halogen would probably burn the plants! i havent started yet as i am still trying to decide what to do! any suggestions would be great! cheapes possible system thx thumper | ||

![]() | Hey thumper if your gonna go with all flo's your gonna need some serious wattage.Like 150 per square foot I think.Forget about the halogen,it gives of alot of heat and would'nt help your plants out that much.I would go with a HID(HPS,MH) and use the flos you have now for side lighting maybe.HID's are kinda expensive, but trust me they are well worth it.Hope this helps ya out bro ![]() | ||

| O.k. You won't need 150w per sq foot with flours...that's crazy. 50watts per sq foot will do it! I've grown serveral good crops with this. When you're ready to spend a little money, then definitely go for the high pressure sodium lights. You'll get faster growth along with a smaller electric bill. Candank | ||
