10 day old lowryder seedling. Is the total wattage more important or the color? I have a 42w 6500k bulb, a 42w 2700k and a 23w 6500k. So.... 84 watts at a 50/50 mix of 6500/2700k or 65 watts of pure 6500k?

 | The 6500k would be a veg spectrum and the 2600-3500k the bloom. You can certainly put all of them on the plant, as enough light is more important than spectrum. Spectrum is important when enough light to grow and flower in achieved.

| Thanks EMj. More specifically though, if you had 2 sockets and those three bulbs (42w 65k, 42w 27k, 23w 65k), which 2 would you use for seedling and veg? I'll be adding more lights later, but this is where I'm at for now.

Get a Y adapter and another 23 or 42 watt bulb FTW... If that isn't in the cards I would opt for the two higher wattage lamps for both veg and flower.

| what you have is fine if your on a real tight budget. ... i sure was when i started out .. trying to do construction + electrical and all at the same time optimally for veg you would use all 6500's at they make tighter node spacing. optimally for flower you would use the 2700's ... closer to the suns color, more specifically the sun getting towards fall, HARVEST TIME ya knowT_C | ||

| I have noticed you havent said anything about lumes. U needa have the most lumes possible. I kno some low wat bulbs out there put out more lumes than higher watt bulbs so just also keep that in mind man.
