Question 12,000 lumen fluoros for flowering?
permalink

I have a set up that is 1 foot by 4 feet. I'm using 4 4foot fluoros for a total of 12,000 lumens. Each bulb is 40W. The labels said 3000 lumens for each bulb but i've read otherwise on the message board
Will the fluoros be ok for flowering. And if i do need a better light, will a 150 watt HPS be ok?

A 150 HPS will flower out two plants really well, Your floro setup wont even complare with what an HPS will do. But your floros are great for vegetative growth. Just move them out and move the HPS in when your ready to flower.

Floro are really only effective within a couple of inches. HPS on the the other hand approaches the light penetration we're looking for. MJ is much more forgiving during the vegetative stage than during flowering. Toss in the hassle of almost daily height adjustment during flowering & HPS wins hands down.
