If you have 240 ACTUAL watts, that's as much heat as a 250 Watt HPS. You will burn your plants to a crisp in that space.

Dude. Get the biggest CFL you can find, plug it in, and put your hand on it. After you get back from the burn unit, let me know if your plants could stand it, ok?

Why not just do this- get a 150 to 170 ACTUAL Watt CFL, or (2) 75 Watters. Build a DIY Cool tube from a clear hurricane lamp type glass tube, or one of those "Bake - Around" tubes they got on Ebay.

Put it Fan>>>Cool Tube>>>out thru a filter (for smell. you don't want any if you're going stealth). That way, you'll keep it cooler. Prior to putting the plants in, put a thermometer in there, shaded by a little piece of foil in an upside down " V ". Let it go 1 hr, just like it runs when the plants are in there. If the temp is ok, like below say 80* F. or so, good.

If not, you need a taller box, more ventilation, or less light.

Does it absolutely have to be the Autoflower micro grow? Are you that pressed for space, or do you simply not need much MJ? Cause a 1.5 foot cube is awfully tiny, you limit the amount of heat you can generate in there.

You could also get regular seeds, and put them into flower from seed, making them dwarf plants.

But I think the 1.5 foot ceiling is gonna be problematic- remember the plnts have pots under them, so an 8" plant + a Gallon pot is about 16 inches. This leaves you with all of 2 inces for lights and venting.
What?? I can actually make it flower from start and make it like a dwarf plant?

Meaning I just put it on a 12/12 schedule after 1 week of flowering? Don't they grow 2-4 feet in flower though?.

The venting was going to sit on the floor beside the pots but have ducts leading to the top so they can suck air from top of container etc.

Do they sell 75 watt CFLs? All the CFLs I've seed laying around are 12-13-14and 15 watts... literally.

How hot can it actually get if ALL the air in the box is refreshed with outside air in under a minute?

The flouro fixtures over a certain wattage will NOT screw into a regular fixture.
They have their ballasts external.
I have a 100 watt[real watts]flouro.
It is sold as a security lamp.
the fixture is 8 x 15 and would hang down from a ceiling 12 inches

before the cfls came on to the market.

everyone was running incandescent.

and lets say a 7w bulb is equivalent to a 25w incandescent.

so now you know, you should get the 7w bulbs to put in your little lamp, that ran 25w incandescent before.

you dont want a 25w cfl in your lamp, pretty impossible to read under it, infact a 25w bulbs is too much for most lighting in most homes. because its 100w equivalent.

most people ran tops 75w or 50w bulbs to light up their living room.

so youŽd want a 13 or 11 watt there.

this is just to make things easier for most folks.

and apparantly , considering how often ive seen this explained, a total failure.

6 15w cfls, would be enough to flower a plant and get ok yields, considering.

use 2700k for flowering.

personally, id buy maybe 3 of those, they will do they plant fine, for up to a month.

in the meantime you can search for bigger lights at good prices.

its the same in my neighboorhood, most stores dont carry more than 11w, why because most people dont need bigger bulbs. you have to go to a hardware store or specialty store.

The 26Watt CFLs in the 6500K spectrum work well for Veggin. there are 8 of them about 3 inches over this scrog,
However I do switch up to a 430W HPS to flower her.

Yeah man, read up on the lighting forums/links. You sound like this is your first grow.....maybe study up on it a little more.
