Okay, I have decided to buy a 400 watt MH complete setup and also get a 400 watt HPS conversion bulb for flowering. After searching for about a week i have come up empty. I have found some great prices on Ebay, but I cannot trust those dealers due to thier feedback. Does anyone know of a reputable website where i can purchase this type of setup and have it shipped for around $300 US?......Would it be better to buy a switchable system with both bulbs, or better to do it this way?. After a year of planning and looking, when it comes find to spend the money I am right back where i started again. ANYONE have any good suggestions?......

I have looked at indoorgrowlights.com and have heard on thse boards form a few different people that they take over a month to ship and then they do not send the MH bulb, so you have to get ahold of them.......I also looked at growsystems.com, who seem to have a very cheap reflector in their kit and want another 80 bucks US to ship, making their systems pretty expensive when you add a conversion bulb.........I will check out the rest......thanks a lot, im gettin kinda anxious here..

Hi growfun21,

I'm a new grower and just recently did a lot of surfing to find the ideal light. I finally went with Northern Lights Manufacturers. All I can say is the customer service is grrrreat. They manufacture dual ballast light systems. It is my belief that having two ballasts is superior to the switchable kind.

Also they have just recently upgraded the sockets because of some new code which allows the bulbs to run much MUCH cooler than the standard sockets found elsewhere on other systems. This allows you to put the light closer to the plants plus the bulbs last a lot longer.

I went with a 500 watt dual ballast system. It came with 2 MH conversion bulbs and two hps bulbs. You can run one mhbulb at the start of grow to save electricity. Then once the plant gets bigger run 2 mh bulbs. Then when it's time to flower you can run a mh bulb and hps bulb simultaneously. In the last stages of flower you can run two hps bulbs. It's a great versatile light IMHO.

hydroponics.com. Fast shipment and good prices. I ordered a Sun System 400 watt HPS and got it within 2 weeks and at a better price by far than if I'd bought it at a retail store. I highly reccomend them. Just don't get suckered into buying the "maximizer" model. This is a piece of sh_t! It's cheap and seems like a good deal but they've had nothing but trouble with them.

hi grofun mine is a light from indoorgrowlightsdotcom mine is model DH250M250 its a full spectrum light 250 and 250 works great two ballasts turn just one on during veg and both for flowering i assume u know what tu turn on and off at diff stages works great for me sometimes i give my ladies some more light and i do use a conversion bulb and turn both on for the same spectrum light but its very versatile cause of the two ballasts HPS on alone or just MH or both pretty good deal check them out, i might also depend on the space ur gonna use for growing u may need a bigger lamp for me this one is perfect u can look at it under visual inspirations and thread names "all ladies welcome" on the first page u'll see the light pictured there.

price is 269 plus the shipping itll come out like 300 worth it bro im telling u and its the same lights that mayorjuana is talking about and one other thread here talks about them too
