![]() | what if i use a 150 watt lightbulb, but it is a regular lightbulb and it gives off 21?? (two thousand something) lumens. is that all right? and can i start the plant and end the plant with it? how far should i set it. im about to get a hps 100 watt is that good also. any advice is good. thanks. P.S. im a begginner so please any advice. | ||

![]() | Have you looked at the HEMP home page? It has a lot more detailed info about lighting then you'll probably get here. btw incadescents are not that good for growing get one of those compact floros it'll fit in the same socket and will be much cooler so you can leave it closer to the plant. With a reflector a 2000 lumen light will illuminate a 1sqft area approimately. you can leave a floro 2-3inches away from the plant but with a incadescent you'd want 8inches or more. It sounds like your growing one plant so 2000 lumens should be fine for a while then depending on how big you plan on growing your plant you'll just add the hps or you can add another floro and then add the hps when you change to a 12/12 light schedule. good luck and remember practice leads to perfection | ||
