![]() ![]() | Im in the market for a small light for my newly built clone mother chamber. --At HomeGrow Depot I saw 1200 lumen, 2 foot, 20 watt, under counter fixtures for 10 bucks. Theyre 2" wide and I can get 6, mounted on a board, into the area. Advantages are easily replaceable bulbs and they are plug in. --150 watt MH. Much more expensive, shorter bulb life, more costly bulb replacement, same Lumens/sf. Are the advantages to the plant worth the extra expense of the MH? Will I notice the difference? Im vegging under 400 watts of floro in 8/sf, 20,000 lumens, and am happy with the internodal spacing. But clone mothers are different, right?

![]() | What figure are you using for lumen out put of the mh? Seems to me like your comparing watts used but that falls short because hid bulbs produce light more effciently then floros. As long as it works for you keep on keeping on but I think that the 300$ or so for a 400watt hps light will pay for itself in buds after your first harvest. And I think that the bulb life thing is wrong but I am following the bibles suggestions for bulb replacement maintaince and not how long the bulb will actually last.

![]() ![]() | Ole boy at the hydro store told me 150 MH is 7000 lumens. My figures for the 2' floros being 1200 lumens came from the side of the box. And Ive got the $300 430 Son Agro, which Im very happy with. MH is supposed to be superior for vegetative growth. Would I notice a difference if I used the originally described floro setup for my clone mothers? Tia
