hi...ive read all around...and ppl all say HID is better than floro..which im sure it is....but which is better for veg. growth...i am def. gonna have to buy a HPS...but hsould i buy some floro for veg growth too????also would a 400 watt HPS be enough for a 6X2 foot grow room...with a foot space on either side for some stand up fans...meaning i have a 4X2 foot grow space...or should i absolutely get a 600...i want the cheapest though but also some excellent results...and last...would those 2 fans on either side be enough circulatoin or would i absolytlet need a inline fan or a/c???also the box would be 7 feet tall so there is some space for the hot air to rise up to..im also gonna find a way to put some vents in with out allowing lightinto the box.ill figure that out though ....thanks for any responses

![]() | for the first week or so it is good to use fluorescents to get the seedlings to a decent strength, as hid systems are harsher and fluoros tend to be safer with small plants. although, there are many growers who use hid all the way through their grow, the choice is really yours. eight square feet of space with a 400 watter would be good for your plants if they all remained at one foot tall. you may want to spring for the 600 watt system. if you want excellent results, spend the money. two fans should do the trick for circulation but you wont know if you need ventilation or not until you know how hot it is going to get. but if you have the time and money ventilation is a very good way to keep the temp. down and then you wont have to worry about it later into the grow. good luck. peace, trev.

![]() | ah..thank you very much trev...u truly arre a master gardener...i thank you very much..u always seem to be answering my questinos...so yea...i might even go with a 1000w hps that i ofund for a nice price....really anything around 200...hopefully less would be in my range...adn well..i will probally not put in a inlinefan or a/c but i will put in some vents..basically just some slits that i will try and set up so no light can get in..just so that there is some fresh air circulating...but yea...what would be a good amount of floros...i will either have to grow about 16 plants then sex to find female or just buy some feminised seeds...because i wnat to be able to fill my room with females...and i will probally need some floros just so that in the winter when i get a nice mother i can clone...so yea...i was either thinking of getting a **** load of CFLs but that would be expensive..or just acouple (like4-6) of the 40w tubes...thanks a bunch ...peace and love

![]() | for 16 plants tubes would probably be the way to go or else you are going to need at least 16 compact fluoros. seems like you know where you are going with this. good luck. peace, trev.
