Im setting up my plant in a 8'h x 4'w x 4'L, i just started growing for about 4 days, the plant is about 2inch tall im using 2 40watt flourenscent lights (mr.light) and i was wondering if i can use these lights to grow 2 successful plants? all this talk about other lights...i was wondering if my plants will come out aiight if i just stick with these lights?

No way! You need a TON more light than that to grow anyting substantial. Look around in the Grow Guide, there's a link in my signature. It'll tell you alot of what you need to know about lighting and everything else. The flouos you're using now are good for what you're using them for but don't give off enough light to carry a plant much beyond a few weeks of growth. You'll either need to get many more flouros or invest in a HID type light. HID meaning High Intensity Discharge and they come in 2 flavors... High Pressure Sodium (HPS) or Metal Halide (MH), both have advantages and disadvantages but the general consensus is to go with a HPS for your entire grow. Judging from the size of your area you would need at least a 400Watt HPS light to grow a plant worth keeping. If a plant dosen't get enough light the buds will be loose and crappy, the potency will be low and the plant will just be unhealthy and weak in general. Read around in the forums and you'll learn a ton, hope this helps!

hmm yea I did more reading around here, i've decided to purchase a 400 hps light, i hope everything will b worth it in the end, thanks for ur input.
