Is mylar capable of withstanding the heat of a HPS light? I have a crappy 150W HPS fixture, and I want to make my own reflector using mylar, but how close can it be? Also, where do I GET mylar? -Kron

just use common sense....put your hand between wall and light...too hot for your hand...move the light away. I am not sure of the flammable temp of Mylar...but I am sure it wont catch on fire unless a heat source is directly touching it.

you can find Mylar at home improvemnet stores....like Home DePot, Lowes, etc.
