![]() | Is mylar capable of withstanding the heat of a HPS light? I have a crappy 150W HPS fixture, and I want to make my own reflector using mylar, but how close can it be? Also, where do I GET mylar? -Kron | ||

![]() | just use common sense....put your hand between wall and light...too hot for your hand...move the light away. I am not sure of the flammable temp of Mylar...but I am sure it wont catch on fire unless a heat source is directly touching it. you can find Mylar at home improvemnet stores....like Home DePot, Lowes, etc. cy ![]() | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() | i just picked up some mylar from the local headshop, and asked what not to do, and he replied "don't get it wet or it will turn transparent. just thought you'd like to know. peace... lrx
