... Ok I ripped out all the mylar in my growroom. I am debating on buying mylar again or just painting the walls white. It`s not a matter of cost just that I hear white walls reflect light evenly too. Any thoughts and experience with using both at different times??? JG

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use white paper almost exclusivly. Once for a few weeks I had some aluminium foil. To my eyes the white paper brightened up the closet alot more than the foil. The walls are naturaly light brown. White paper makes it look WAY more brighter than that.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm not experienced, but I read in the Cannabis Grow Bible that Mylar reflects 60% of the light that hits it, while white reflects 100% of the light that hits it. Makes sense when you think about the color spectrum. On our next grow, we're going white. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think mylar is easier to clean. But you could always just repaint faded, dirty walls. Mylar can tear easy and I've also found that safers soap eats away at the metallic backing. Wierd.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Say JG, I'm considering paint myself...but not sure. I think there is a small dif in reflectivity...mylar having the advantage. Is it enough to worry about? In your situation I think not. If I do go paint I believe flat to be the choice. (My uneducated choice). OP

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Flat. The Cannabis Grow Bible did specify that, sorry I left that out, because it is an important detail. Harder to clean, yes, but reflects more light.
