Im starting my "tomato garden" within the next few months. I have a small 8-12 square foot "room" to work with. It will measure roughly 2-2.5'x4-5' in length. I want to minimise electrical consumption, but I want the best tomato's possible. I already have a pair of fixtures that accept mogul based bulb's up to 400 watts. They also each have a pair of 28 watt power compact flourescent tubes built in(for a total of about 100 watts worth of extra light), which I figured would be great for the seedling stage. So the big question is should I do a dual 250 watt system, or a dual 400 watt system? Also what are the best HPS bulbs to use for the vegetation and flowering stage? Appreciate any input recieved! | ||
