![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hi grower gods! so i have a small area about 5' x 4' x 7'tall (small section in the attic)with this dual spectrum set up. i have 5 white widows(outta 10 seeds)that i haven't killed....i started them about 3 wks ago. they are in 9" pots. then i had a friend give me some seeds...so now i have 8 more beaners coming up...realizing that maybe 50% will be males and removed...that could leave me 6 plants(wouldn't that be grand!) anyhoo...is that enough room & light to comfortably grow 6 plants? i don't know what kind of seeds my friends were...but i do know they were from good weed...the ww came from the amsterdam seedbank. right now the light is about 3ft from the plants...and the little sun meter is right up there...i just bought a ph meter so i'll be checking that in a few momments. just curious as i've been looking at some of the grow journals and sometimes i'm surprised at the small space that plants can flourish in...and then sometimes i'm a poor judge of space from the pics. any thoughts?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Is this a switchable or is it actually two lamps in the hood? It makes a difference, if you're running two lamps instead of one. If it's just one lamp, I'd say 4 comfortably, 6 might be a stretch, more if you do a SoG. If you have two lamps in your hood, you could probably do up to 6-8 plants. I grew out 9 full size LST'd plants in soil under a 1000w HPS and had good results.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | In my case, I've had no problem veging 9 plants (3 rows of 3) under my 400W MH. Those were in 1 gallon pots, and only took up a 2.5' x 2.5' foot print. After repotting, I needed to use a 600W HPS to flower as the foot print of the larger pots increased to 3.5' x 3.5'. As Grasshopper I believe it was mentioned...it depends on the technique as well. The numbers i mentioned above, were typical full veg. grows, A SoG grow could fit many more.
