![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if you are going to do a flouro grow, the 6500k temp bulbs are for vegging- you need alot of them and they have to be within inches of the plant, but they will work. people have been doing flouro grows since forever, Im sure you can search here and find a few Journals where they were used. That being said, no, I wouldn't call em "good" really- Im using 4 24" 6500k tubes, 2 compact flouros (25 watts each I think, real wattage) and 2 of the plant and aquarium 24" tubes, in the red spectrum- It'll keep a plant alive, but they don't get big very quickly. I only have these for starting sprouts, I was gonna keep a mother under em, but they aren't working out for me. gonna go get a cheap MH lamp for that I think. cheaper both to buy the lights, and to operate, for its output than flouros. I think it was near 10 bucks per pair of tubes, and I have six of those, and 9 bucks apiece for the compact flouros, plus fixtures if you don't already have em- it doesnt take long to spend thesame 70 bucks the security light will cost you ![]() That being said- if you look at lowes or home depot the have 70-150 watt high pressure sodium lights, and I also saw a 70 watt metal halide. its all in the security lights- thats the best cheap way out for good lighting to grow with. there are also some grow journals here that have those as lighting, and they do a fantastic job for their size and price. Good Luck!

But they are cool ( temp ) quiet ( noise ) stealthy ( no RF emmitted ) and can grow a $hitload of top-quality ganja if you train right. | |||

A mix with 827,830 and 865 work better than "plant and acuarium" tubes and are cheaper, too.
