High Pressure Sodium lights?
permalink

does anyone know of a good place where i could go get some High Pressure Sodium lights from? i was thinking a hardware store or warehouse where i could by the light and something that it could plug into the wall with. At the moment i am about to grow and i have everything except for the lights.

I live in australia too so dont bother sending me an american or british web link coz they wont fit in my plugs.

I was also thinking if this is the right light to get for a fairly small closet space that will be home to 3 plants if that. So if you could help me out that will be great.

thanks in advance

I guess at any hydrostore you could find some suitable lights for your needs ,or might as well order from internet on websites which ship international . But just try your local hydroshops .
Peace

iv never seen any useful light setup which you can get from bunnings, mitre 10 etc etc. measure your grow space and get a light which gives you between 50-70 watts per square foot (30cm)

its that time of year for us oz growers to get outdoors, im ditching my lights for the summer...no doubt its gonna be a stinker as usual n my indoor temps are ridiculous.

HPS light are great but will put out a very large amount of heat. If you can cool your cabinet well then I would go with the HPS light, but if heat is going to be a problem you could look into High output Fluorescent lights, these lights are nice because they don't get hot and you can get them right on top of the plants because they do not get hot. I do believe that HPS would give you a higher yield if you had a high wattage light, but I have seen people do amazing grows with Fluorescent lights here. Take a look in the grow journals and try to find a setup that is close to what you are doing and see what light those people are using.
