ok i have no idea where to put this and dont shoot me if i'm asking a q that i cant find an answer for lol but anyways I am curious if I put the keaf/crystals into the mix to simmer if it will help to liven things up a bit. I have about 1/8 of decent stuff to put in and some leaves of my own stuff i'm growing and i was just curious if i'd be wasting the keaf by dumping it in with the other stuff

any help or a simple answer is appreciated

As to your ?
Yes adding an 1/8 will give a good amount of butter for 2 to 4 edibles or servings.
You also want to add it to something that is high oil content. and don't cook too long or high temp. .
Also please be sure all who are consuming what you are making are well aware of it's contents!!!
Eating is much more intense than smoking it!

thiers something called kannas perfect cannabudder. i believe anyway. ill try and find the link...

me personally id rather smoke the kief. but it would be like using weed. plenty of people use straight kief while they cook. i know bobbooty(ruler of gardenscure) talks a lot on just cooking with plain kief.

ahh shit karmas not kannas... forgive me im stoned.

heres the link. this is the easiest, and my most favourite way to make butter.

i also like to add chocolate syrup to the brownies. it almost totally masks the taste of the cannabutter. i also add like 3 (capfulls) of oil to make them a bit more moist.

I use everything but stems when I make my butter, I make it in a similar way to Karmas recipe but I use as much trim+leaves as I can fit in the pan, and I use a BIG pan and a pound of butter/margerine. It's amazing how strong the butter is from the stuff that most people throw away, a 2oz piece of the flapjack made with my butter will put most people fetal and useless!! Lovely stuff!

you cant go wrong...

the butter is simple. weed, water, butter, cheese cloth {or tshirt}. thats all you need.

add water.... just enough to cover all the weed.
add butter - add more than the recipe calls for. because butter will be lost. say 40% extra.
Bring butter and water to simmer {200 degrees}
Grind up all the dry buds, leaves, trim, whatever... drop it in the simmerign mixture.
simmer uncovered for 90-180 minutes. when the water level is about half what it was remove from heat.

Strain the mixture through a cheese cloth or old t-shirt. i find the tshirt works much better, letting much much less crap through the strain.

poor the strained mix into tupperwares, let sit overnight. in the morning you will have green butter on top, nasty water in the bottom. dump the water, use the butter and freeze the leftovers if there are any.
