Dum Dum

Hey all....I just took some butter, put some leaves, stems, and small buds in it and let it simmer for about five minutes while constantly stirring......I then strained it through a very fine strainer x2....I baked some brownies...Took a bite....And would have sworn I just bit into a mj plant itself........Very strong taste of plant! It was a poopy and disappointing experience......What did I do wrong?????

Were the leaves fresh or dried?

I have found that putting them through a cure like the buds helps with the flavour.

I've had that taste experience. All I can say is wash it down witha big glass of milk and get some mints or something.

Hi BD! Thanks for the response.....I guess maybe it's just time to try to make some hash......

I do like your idea about curing the leaves, etc. before making the budder......I didn't do that.......Definately will next time!

First problem may be that you're supposed to simmer the water for an hour or more. Also, cooking like that with marijuana is an aquired taste, I think. I just finished some brownies, and good GOD, I can't stomach them yet. The smell and the taste is all weed. But, they get me high, so I guess I'll just deal with it.
