Hey all .. Well I've been reading through the forum and found some info on making canibutter .. I have a small plant, and it's hermie. I just pulled it out of the ground and hung it upside down .. Seeing the large amounts of plant matter you need to make hash oil .. I'm guessing my best option is to go with cannibutter .. SO! Here's my few questions .. Step 1 After breaking down the plant after it dries, I chop it all up finely and put it into a pan and boil with margarine (I picked this up from MamaBudz) .. cover it and let it boil for about 20 mins .. Everything sound ok so far? Step 2 Strain out unwanted plant matter .. what would be the best way to strain this out if it's got butter in it already? Wouldn't the butter get stuck in whatever I'm using to strain? Step 3 Let it cool and then get to cookin ![]() So I guess my real questions are 1) when do I strain the plant matter and what to strain with? 2) should I put it all in a blender THEN into a pan? 3) how much margarine should I use? I have done this many times. Sometimes I do it with dry weed and sometimes with wet. STEP 1: I fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. STEP 2: Put weed into a cheese cloth sac or a clean ladies nylon and tie it off so nothing falls out while it is boiling. Don't use anything thicker than that, like a regular sock. STEP 3: Throw it and the butter in the boiling water and keep at a rolling boil for 30 min. STEP 4: Turn off the heat, and wearing thick rubber gloves grab the sac of weed and squeeze it as hard as you can, if you can wear thin cotton mits under the rubber gloves because it will be hot. STEP 5: Let the water cool and the butter will congeal on top of the water. STEP 6: Take the hardened butter out of the pot and scrape the soft slimey bottom off of the hard butter and throw that gross stuff away with the water. STEP 7: (optional) Re-melt the butter and pour into a small square pan (8in. x 8in.). Let it set up and cut into squares and freeze until needed. Use this stuff as you would regular butter. P.S.
