I'm thinking about making pot brownies. I looked up a recipe, and it said 1/2 cup. Is that 1/2 cup of broken up weed, or does it have to be fine(through a strainer). Just curious, because I scrubbed 7gs through a strainer, and it didn't even make 1/4 of a cup. Any help appreciated.

![]() | Just think about how much weed you want to eat. Example: I always cut my brownie pans into 4x4 = 16 brownies. I figure 4 brownies is a hearty little snack; this is 4/16 or /4 pan. So figure out how much weed you want to eat. Then multiply that by 4 to figure out how much to put in the pan. I usually put about 10 grams (~3/8 oz) in a pan.

![]() ![]() | I tried this for the first the other day. After reading a site that reckoned that 3.5g of average weed was enough to get 5 people totally wasted, I put in about 1g as it was for two people and better than average (! understatement). We haven't tried them properly yet, so I have no idea if they'll have the desired effect. However, we did eat a little, and it tastes absolutely rank! Don't get me wrong, the smell of weed is great, but it really doesn't complement a brownie, making it difficult to eat more than a couple of mouthfuls, which isn't fun. And the whole point of this is to have fun. Anyway, what's a good way of masking the taste? Will just covering them in a chocolate topping (i.e. some dairy milk that's been melted down) do the trick?

I would disagree with you that 3.5 grams is enough to get 5 people "totally wasted." I'd say you'd get a pretty decent buzz from that, but not much more. Keep in mind when making brownies that you will have to add more weed than you would normally smoke, because some of the thc is metabolized

![]() ![]() | I think it may just be me actually. For some reason I don't mind the taste of weed on it's own, but with these brownies I can only stomach a couple of tiny bites.. Everyone else that's tried them seems to love them! There's even someone who's happily eaten quite a few (but due to the number of them, I doubt the ratio of weed:brownie is particularly high) <ramble>As for the nasty weed, it's probably the best stuff I've ever had It was off a guy who's the treasurer for the legalization of cannabis society at the university I'm at. He is one of 2 of people I know who truly know what they're doing when it comes to procuring weed off the 'streets'. Never bought it from him before, but it was well worth the price. Shame I don't get to eat the gram in the brownies.. Still got a fair amount left though, which is nice.</ramble>![]() Mouseomatic
