Cooking Fourum? (Need tips on butter making).

Ok ok just an idea.
Anyways on to the subjuct at hand i have started my first batch of butter this afternoon . I didn't have the dough to buy the 6 bag kit for h2o extraction so butter it is. I Am using the crockpot method with water. here is the mix 8 quart crock pot on low 1.5 lb butter 4oz good trim(give or take 2 oz) 8 cups of water. Now i have this hot goo. Has anybody have pointers on time to crock? 8-14 hrs is my range. How do i seperate the butter from the goo? Then the butter from the water ? Any tips on how not to paint my kitchen with green slime will greatly enhance my life expectancy. Thanks in advance .

Search cannabutter. Try the recycling forum. Find Brindie...

Recycling is a subforum under Havesting, Drying and storage. I believe all cooking falls into this catagory.

Another place to look besides the Recycling Forum is the Recipes Forum at CheapTalk.

I've never made cannabutter with water, but PotTV has a video with a hot stoner chick demonstrating how to make it.

I so dig her. She also does the cooking column in cannabis culture magazine or at least she has a few times.

I just noticed that the time on the board is now 4:20. That makes my third 420 of the day. How nice.

You're on the right track.

I've done it a little different - different appliances etc, but it sounds to me like you're doing it pretty well on your own.

After cooking, I just removed all the veggies with a strainer and cheesecloth. Then, I put the liquid in the fridge and let it firm up overnight. Then it was just a simple matter of gently breaking the firmed up butter into chunks and removing them from the remaining liquid. Then, I reheated it and poured it into like a Tupperware container with a lid. Back into the fridge for safekeeping and later use.
