Quick, Easy and Worthwhile?

Hi all - long time reader, seldom poster here!

Basically I've been growing some plants and they showed there sex so I've ended up with about 2 oz - One 6/7 foot male plant's - worth of dried, finely chopped material.

I've been reading about what to do with it; oil, hash etc but alot of them seem like heck of a lot of expense/time/effort.

A fellow grower smoked a load of it in a J and said it was good for couch-lock but nothing else, just a really heavy high.

Basically what's the easiest, cheapest, quickest (well, maybe not quickest) method of extracting a smokeable product?
The whole reason I started to growing was to stop spending money so I don't want to have to fork out for alcohol, special machines etc.

Take a pot and put on the stove (bouble boiler is better) put the burner on like 3 or 4 (out of 10). Put enough of your favorite cooking oil in the pot (you want just enough to completly cover all your trimmings). Put your finely chopped dry shwag in there and a lid on it and come back 20-30 mins later. It should get warm but nowhere near bubbling and boiling (you will boil out the thc). Poor the oil out through a sock or nylon and collect the oil that drips through. Then cook something.... Betty Crocker brownies in a box are excellent... just add canni-oil and eggs...... your stoned. Or put the oil in pill capsules and swallow. Cheep as 3$ for oil 2 $ for a sock or nylons and 4-5$ for the betty crocker.

Other than that your buyin solevents, extracting and cooking down.... but it doesn't sound like your into that.

You can do butane extraction with a coffee plunger, a pyrex bowl and a few cans of lighter gas. (A blender helps.) Pretty quick as well.
High as a kite and no couchlock.

I think the boil in the pan idea sounds the best for me.
Is it wise to use a really old pan or does the extraction not really mess up the pan?
It sounds a good idea but I don't think parents would be impressed if I ruin one some of their best kitchen-ware

the cooking oil will wash off with some soap or a dishwasher..... Shouldn't wreak any dishes unless you burn the sheit out of it

One final question (possibly final...) - With the oil, is there a way to reduce this?
Enough oil to cover the shredded plant material would be about 5-6 cup fulls - if it's heated for longer can it be reduced to an almost honey-like consitency? I understand that "reducing" in cooking terms is pretty much evaporating the water out to get a more concentrated sauce (or whatever) however I'm guessing you can't do this with oil...

What about chilling the oil to thicken it up? I'm just wondering about ways to make it more "smoke-able" rather than eating it. I remember seeing a thread a while back where oil was used as a glue to bond keif into a smokeable nugget - would this work?

Then dont do this as it is cooking oil. Dosent burn well. You want some alcohol or butane
If you are gonna... than the less cooking oil the better... try 2 cups and stir it often.

Buckle your seat belt. I melted three sticks of butter and cooked about an ounce and a half of trim I clipped from my buds for an hour at 200 degrees. Then I made cookies with the strained butter. Ate four cookies. Thank God I had nothing to do that day. Got completly obliterated for about eight hours. Thought I was going to trip. Eating it can be a lot of fun
