nice MJ/Basil pesto is wonderful on pasta 1/2 cup chopped basil 1/2 cup chopped fresh MJ (leaves stems & bud fresh from plant) 1 cup olive oil 1/2 cup grated parmesan 1/2 cup grated romano three or more cloves garlic to taste Mix all ingredients in food processor and refrigerate for at least 24 hours. This is a strong pesto and a little goes a looooong way. Add a few table spoons to store bought Ragu and add a little zing to your spaghetti Or try this recipe: Boil a box of Rotini (the curly cue pasta) and drain but don't rinse, place back in pot and set aside Meanwhile in a sauce pan place three tablespoons Pesto to melt over a medium heat, when melted add 1 can of drained garbanzo beans and stir until coated with pesto and nicely toasted, Add 1/2 cup of seasoned italian bread crumbs and stir it all up . Then add about a cup of bottled tomatoe sauce and stir it agaon. Add the mixture to your pasta and give the whole messa stir. Serve immediately to hungry ADULTS (remmebr it has MJ and Pesto is a bit strong for KId tastes too. A nice White Bolla, caesar salad and crisp garlic bread go well with this dish. Enjoy! __________________ Mama Budz * I Toke & I Vote * | ||

![]() | Yumm! Sounds like a sure winner. I like to use finely chopped sunflower seeds, almonds, or pine nuts in my pesto, otherwise except for the MJ, it's almost identical. A nice pizza recipe is to schmear a layer of pesto on a pre-made crust (like Boboli), then decorate with avocado, crab meat, and gouda cheese. Just right with a nut brown ale! ![]()
