From experience I can say that smoking pot does get me a little paranoid at times, and I know it's not just me. You guys think theres any link between chronic marijuana use and paranoia? If so what causes these persistent panick attacks? | ||

 The fact that its illegal and you know your doing something that if you get caught, you will be introuble with Johnny Law.

| This is a topic that has been discussed a lot. I have spent years looking for the right strain to grow. Something that is not dehabilitating (can still function just fine), gets the job done in 1-3 hits, favors creativity, clear, and no paranoia. I have found a few along the way but not the perfect one yet. Strawberry Cough for me is the closest I have gotten to my perfect smoke. When the flower is harvested plays a part in the actual high. Early harvest (when the crystals are clear) will give you a soaring rushy high that can sometimes lead straight to paranoia. Also some strains that are more Satvia tend to give the paranoid effect. I have found many a bud that people say is great and it just doesn't work for me. I know some people don't like the strawberry cough. Cannabis has a different affect on each person, so what makes me paranoid may not make you so. Also amount used can contribute to this as well. If you rip 15 bong hits and are hiding behind your couch, you may want to cut down on how much you puff. Hope this helps! peace

| i think it comes with experience and age. i'm in my mid 40's and i never get paranoid when high...of course my thc levels are probably pretty high.  i do love the strawberry cough too!!! what a kind great smoke/vap. my other favorite is blueberry....for more of a kick. | ||

| Maybe I should describe my paranoia a little better. It has nothing to do with what other people think, getting busted, or what not. I guess I just call it paranoia because it's a certain buzz that I get from herb harvested real early or some Vietnam Black (ex, some statvias), something that is real rushy. I get to thinking about all negative things in my life. Not that there are a lot of negatives, but what ever ones are there are magnafied. Very strange. Only some strains do that, but I do not want to grow them and have a few Lbs laying around that makes me see my dead dog climbing my leg with a knife in his mouth! I was gifted a sac of AK recently that was taken down at exactly six weeks. A couple four hits, all is fine. A couple 10 ripping bong hits and I'm kind of nervous. Weird because I have a high tolerance. Now the AK that went 9 weeks was mint! Not couch lock at all but very much relaxing. Same thing with blueberry. Early nowhere near as good as 12 weeks. Each person is different and it amazes me how differently herb affects each person. Some strains that make me paranoid my friends love and giggle like school girls. I'm over on a cliff! Anyway that was stupid long, sorry. Just a subject that I like to talk about, to find out more about the effects of this wonderful herb. Peace

| I know allot of people would agree that different strains affect paranoia differently but to be honest i really have never seen a difference with any strain. I think its all about the atmosphere. If your in a comfortable situation where you have no reason to worry about getting caught or something bad happen then y be paranoid? Paranoia in itself is all a mind set. If you over think it it will happen. The only time i have ever been paranoid is if im toking in a public place and the LEO are close by, but hey i get paranoid around cops even when im not doing anything illegal (or in possession of).
