I have Crohn's, not diverticulitis but a P.I.T.A. bowel disease just the same...

Sorry to hear it buddy my mom has Crohn's she just got out of the Hosp she had a section of her intestine removed she’s doing much better now but still has pain. Looks like i'll be making a big batch of cookies. She's 75 and I got kicked out of the house for smoking when I was in 11th grade been on my own ever since. So it will be interesting how I can get her to eat it. Herbal mom herbal.

Thank you for the words brother…….

Also diet can help with Crohn's. I use the B.R.A.T. diet when I'm having problems.

I had 5 feet removed.

If she's on Prednisone it's VIP that they reduce the dosage slowly over a period of time.

Hey, vonrasta
I suffer from diverticulitis flare-ups occasionally. I have a standing prescription for Cephlex antibiotic. At the first sign of intestinal discomfort I'm on them for a week. I know that's not "whole earth and organic", but it is very effective for me. I have been laid low with it several times, and I don't want to get to that point again.

Smoking any of several flavors that I have on hand offers limited pain relief, but it sure helps my outlook on life. Water, gatorade, and a bland diet for a few days for wifey. I hope she feels better quickly.

My wife takes Amox TR-K CLV a substitute for AUGMENTIN no idea how close it is to Cephlex but it is an anti-biotic. If she would smoke on occassion it would definatly help the attitude.

/female hand reaches out slaps my face

......oppps did I say she has an attitude out loud
