Anyone been approved in Oregon? Looks like the laws are fairly restrictive to "debilitating" conditions like cancer, aids, epilepsy. Anyone been able to secure medicine for more mild situations like insomnia, depression, etc?

chappie, pretty much the only aspect that Oregon policy is flexible on is in regards to chronic pain. Sciatica, migraines, and back spasms are some examples.

a friend of mine here in oregon got his license simply for "headaches".

another female friend got hers for "bad cramps".

so, not terribly difficult to acquire, though you do need some sort of recent (within three years) medical records that state your "condition".

just go to a "regular" doctor for your "condition" get treated, of course it wont work maybe go to another similar dr type... once uve tried there remedies a couple times, give it a month or so and go to the alternative dr and get ur med card.

We're all at risk for MJ whether recreational or medical...Its still illegal on a federal level... All you can do is educate yourself,weigh the risks and come to a decision which way you want to go.
Hopefully at some point this will all become mute when the masters of the universe at the federal level finally legalize both cannabis and hemp for everyone

depression insomnia and headaches can be nothing, or they can control your life.

as far back as i can remember, i couldnt sleep. i remember being up at 3 in the morning, trying to go to sleep for school. i used to literally get pissed off in 2nd grade because i couldnt sleep the night before. its still like this today. the only thing that knocks me out right now is my iso hash. 30 minutes after smoking that, im falling asleep.

so explain to your doc, these arent minor things to you. and they infact, have a bad impact on your life. sure you may not be dieing from aids, but cannabis helps much more than making you hungry.
