Well, maybe it's just the day... but i have a gloomy hopelessness settling over me.

My dad is on his hemp oil now and at least he feels better with even more energy. I have him on other things too, so this is either the Hemp Oil or the TumorX helping him. To see what he takes (no prescription drugs) let me know. Dad should be in more need of oil soon and I guess spending about $700 a month on it. lucky for him, only a 3 month attempt to cure!

Myself, I don't have even $300 a month to spend. Our income will some be sliced in half, to make matters worse!

In the past few months since my discovery of MMJ for my dad and myself, I've come to rely on it. I made a long drive to AmD to get the little I have and spent a bi tin the process. I intnded to merely test strains for dad and myself then find a way to get more of these chosen strains, if they worked for us.

Well, dad got the oil, and now I try the strains for me. After about 10 years of medications consisting of mostly opiates, I was delighted to find the MJ helped y pain and other problems in just small amounts. My problem with most medications is resistance. i caan swallow a box of morphine or chew a batch of Oxycontin and it has almost no effect on me. I have my daily patches of synthetics morphine (less resistance) and my breakthrough pure morphine and other pills for the night when I just can't stand the pain or lack of sleep anymore. Any little exertion and I need the extra meds. I'm not even 40 yet and fid it disturbing that there's no studies on long term mophine use and will it kill me??!

My doc says now there is nothing further he can do for me. I'm on the strongest of meds (more than he knows) and have weekly infusions and injections now for 8 years. What do I do for the rest of my life? He has no answer!!

So my use of MMJ has become more a necessity than just a temporary testing to see if it can help me and dad. I realize that if I can have pills or oil to keep the daily pains at bay, and pure buds to vape for breakthrough pain, I could possible have a life again.

Since starting my only nightly use of MMJ, I've STOPPED my extra morphine and sleeping pill doses at night. My legs no longer bur... which no amount of morphine was helping and the pain was leaving me a zombie unable to even go outside to pull a ew weeds. The Mj STOPPED this burning pain with no found cure!! It's helped me through the worst depression ever and soon will be put to the ultimate breakthrough pain tests in the next few months. For the first time in yeas, I'm not doped up 24/7. I start to feel I can drive again, move again.

This all is wonderful, but then I wake up and realize when my tiny stash is gone... so is my new found life. In another month, it's just gone. I've looked into making normal oil and all sorts of ways of converting it into stable food use, but I don't have enough here... not even a 1/4 oz is left. I can't make anything from this or the bit of scrap leaf (MH tar) I was given?? What do I do??

OK, perhaps I can grow it I think. I buy some seeds and think a houseplant (no one visits) or plant in the forest is cool. But that would take another 8 months and the season is too late... not to mention I will not live here anymore then.

Desperate, I look the oil and think this is an affordable solution. Perhaps I can take just one little dose in the evening and survive the night? Then I read more and more than 4 doses a day are needed... I find no one who can get by on any less! Even the kindest of people from RS's site selling to help people like me can't do better than $700 or more for a month's supply. Even 1/2 amount of this, I just don't have it.

I haven't tried the hemp oil, but it seems I would need so much less thin this, since it's a pure concentrate. However, my resistance to vaporizing is already growing... The oil must work different. That little grain of rice must be equivalent to a lot of MJ. It's so confusing! I think I'll try the oil one time anyways... but my finances for using MJ for my pain just looks grim. Even if I lived somewhere to grow it, legal or not, how many plants would it take if it takes 500g of buds to make 50ml.... a 3 month supply.

I'm all out of ideas. My strain studies that found Train Wreck as the best pain reliever for me and Bubblegum and the best daytime depression/ pain reliever. Where I get a year's supply of each of these wasn't in my mind when IO started testing these strains! :-(( This is only useful to me if I lived where I could grow. I'll still post my results in a med strain thread.

I feel like I've found the fountain of youth, but only allowed to put my hand in it. Surely I'm not the only person in this forum stuck like this??

Today, I canceled my weekly pain infusion for the first time in a decade. I decided the pain is at a level I can deal with at the moment, perhaps I can even leave the house tomorrow and risk driving without the mind numbing infusion... But on realizing it's only temporary I sit hear dripping tears on the keyboard. Bad enough it's illegal, but impossible just never crossed my mind. My stomach knots up as I think of morphine pills. :-(

any advice on what to do is welcome.

SO here's my sob story. Other people must have similar stories (hopefully with better endings) to share.

indoor plants {indica dom strains} root to fruit in about 3 months. {they only flower 8 weeks}

if you can get your hand on some rooted clones you can shave nearly a month off that time.

outdoors takes long because of the seasons...the plants dont need 8 months to finish.

Wow, so short a time?? This is with all that fancy grow set-up though? I was told it costs about 3 grand to get a good indorr setup going. My aunt was going to try and grow soemthing for dad and I, i even mailed her seeds. She flipped ot st set-up costs and refuses to toss soem seeds in a local weed patch. :-((

I think settign up for indoors in for more experienced growers! I would have tried it with even an aquarium light if I thought it was possible. I'm moving from 220 voltage to 110, so investments in lights are not a great idea at this point.

Due to legalities of MJ here, I have yet to ever meet another user let alone grower!

I'm hoping growing will be a future solution. Even if I had an indoor set up at this moment, I'd be hard pressed to grow, dry and process what I get into some stealthy form by early fall to ship to dad for safe keeping, or pack up with the furniture... no way. Movers and strangers will be all over my property in another month. Much things to sell and pack, being sich requires hiring help. :-\

If I were to bury a seed in a ditch soemwhere tomorrow, how long before the product is done and dried? Dad has a drainage ditch and weed field close by...

Depending on the grow area construction costs can get to +$3k, but it is also possible to go with cfl's and cheap fans..etc....at um maybe 10-20% of that. ..again it depends on the grow area that is provided.

As far as outdoor grows go it depends on when you start and also what strain is provided.

A few hundred bucks is all you need to start growing. CFL's, Nutes, Buckets, Medium, Fans, a PH kit and some bagseed you're off to the races. $200 - 300 would come back to you after a single grow.

Is an aquarium ligh of any use?? What about the smell? I doubt my new home will end up being somewhere legal. I fear the legalities of a jury rigged indoor location. Caught once, career and freedom is gone. Even if I live SW legal to plant and have a card, it's stil NOT legal for me. I avoid my DH's work place in case I get sniffed. :-(

With that said, all the bell's and whistles set up in the house are not so easy to make disappear. I set-up far away in some woods looks more appealing.

WIth that said, I'd least want to own my own place before brave such a feat.

Now my mother is the gardener with room for the perfect set up. However, she also talks a lot and is aware she'd give up the game before a single seed sprouted. She's blabbed at the local health food place and who knows where about the oil dad gets!

your move from 220v to 110 wont affect anything really.

you can easily get 110 from a 220 outlet, you just use one leg and a common. of course if you are changing countries..that could be difficult. the u.s. uses 60hz everywhere just about uses 50hz.

i dont know how big a setup you need...but my first setup was very cheap.

i built a box about the size of a fridge. put a 400w HPS in there {free,scrapped from an old industrial light} bought a 300cfm fan...around 100 bucks i think.

couple little bits and pieces...nutes 30 bucks, bag of bad ass soil 25 bucks {you can use a much cheaper brand} couple of pots and i was off to the races. in almost exactly 3 months i grow 8oz of nice sticky stinky pot for just a c ouple hundred bucks. easily paying for itself the first time i used it.

i will post you a couple links to a complete grow kit from a reputable supplier of grow gear. lots of posts here about this c ompany if youd like to research farther.

also dont forget, almost all magnetic HID ballast can be internally rewired for several different input voltages ranging from 110v -408v. all you do is open the inspection cover, undo one wire nut, remove the one wire thats hooked up and connect it the wire that is labeled with the correct voltage for your application. reinstall the wire nut and cover, you are ready to grow!

If you have a space to grow in that you can control light and dark cycles id go for this kit. Everything you need to get started is here, for under 300.

If you do not have a space already built out to grow in, use this. Just set the tent anywhere in your house, put the gear inside and get to work! this one is 499

Guys, I can't safely explain all the reasons why I can't grow now. I don't even know where I'm going or the exact date yet! I guestimate I have 1 1/2 months left in my house, one month before the mover swould coem and take EVERYTHING, even less beofr I start sellign my stuff and lettign strangers tour the house for the land lords!!!! Thsi is likely what will happen, best case all this is pushed back 2 months. Once I reach the USm I have to do all of this over again in reverse. In between I will have to undergo 2 months of getting dog sniffed almost daily, and living area "cleaned" by "maids" I got busted for sneaking my cats in for 3 days last tiem I moved. Had 4 hours to make them disappear or the maid would turn me in!! (then no place to stay)

If I thoufht i coudl grow a plant in the woods when I learned of all of this in late June, i would have. Buying all thsi cool grow stuff whiel here is absurd. I am not the one chosing or paying for the movers.

If you can put all of this together and get the picture, please keep it to yourself... just nod and say you get it.

Growing can be a future project. These little set ups are pretty cool.I just threw away a cabinet that woudl have worked for this. I will have to see what state I end up in, where I can live, and more. I'll fid a way, inside or out, it's the only way I'll bne able to afford to use MJ medicine!!

I anticipate next Janiary to march beofre I new house can be found and rented.

What can I do meantime?? Are there other chronic pain useea that can tell me how much they need a day to get by and in what form? Will my bud stash last longer and be less detectable if I were to make it into capsules? Is this any more affordable than the oil? How much actual oil do chronic pain users need daily?

Whatever I end up with will need to be made into some sniff proof form. I'll be driving and walking by sniffing dogs for at least 4 of the upcoming months. I have to make sure I don't stink. Coem to think of it, I even have to send my vaporizers in with the furniture that gets shipped! Dangit!!

So that leaves oil and MJ made into pills. I can get by with sealing daily amounts up in pill form. Crud, how many buds do I need to find to make 5 months minimum MJ capsules?? 5 months of oil is almost 4 grand. I can't do it. Anyone here use the MJ in pill form or a similar form? Back to how much i'd need to find to last a day/ week/ month. My only option here is a trip to AmsD. At $15 a gram, I'd need a estimate of how much to get to last 5 months. I can't even guess for myself since my pain is at a low tiem now and will increase to max pain with the move and stress. I ned to at least replace 60mg of pure morphine a day for breakthrough pain. Add the equivlent of a 50mcg patch for complete relief of opiates. ;-(

Anyone who can share their actual daily use of oil or bud for pain relif?
