I have a lot of questions out there... I hope I can finally contribute something useful!

I'm new to all of this... New and old vaporizer users might like this new Launch Box.

The first MJ item I bought a few months back was a cheap $12 vaporizer along with 3 strains of MJ. Convinced this stuff was all helping my pain, I returned and bought an Iolite vaporizer and 14 more strain samples to try an month later.

During this time, I realized these darn vaporizers all need time to warm up... too much time. I wish to vape my MMj like I would take a pill. I feel pain= vape MJ until it is relieved. I further wished to wake up in the night with pain, take only the amount I need, then go back to sleep. No lights, heating, matches and lighters in bed. Sounds simple, but it's not. The Iolite takes a few minutes to warm up and even longer to cool down. Further more if I want only 2 hits or mabe 3, as I need, I don't have this control unless I add packing a new tiny bowl each tiem I used it.

So I think i have the answer! I bought a Launch Box Vaporizer for under $100, including the USB recharger with wall outlet adapter, mouthpieces, brush , case, and two charged batteries. It's only the size of a pack of gum and fit's easily into a pocket.

The little gadget is just science project cool... nothing put some birch scrap wood, copper ans steel wire, Plexiglas, and a fine screen. (with a lot of TLC in the making) That's it! The battery goes in and 3 seconds later, you have vapor! No mouthpiece needed!

I got the gadget yesterday, loosely filled the bowl with some MJ, then took the gadget and one AA battery into the bedroom and took little hits at 10 minute intervals, until I felt the pain melt away. It took about 6 mini hits for me last light, with tapping and shaking the box each time.The heating is so strong, you have to pull the battery away from the connection after each hit or you'll fry your bowl before you even exhale! Push the battery back in and vapors come out seconds later. Easy! It took a while to get the airflow right to not burn my MJ, but learning is fast with this.

In the middle of the night, I woke 2-3 times in pain. Instead of popping my usual 20mg morphine each time this happens, I used this LB vaporizer. I didn't even need to turn the light on. I just grabbed it in one hand, pushed the battery in, inhaled and repeated a few times, then pulled out the battery, tapped the bowl over (stays inside still, no mess or stirring) then went back to sleep.

I woke up this morning to see I still had good MJ left for more uses in the bowl. The battery finally died this morning, so I put in a freshly charged one and plugged the other into my computer to recharge. Was easy!

This might not sound like a big deal to someone with a different pain management system set up, but fir someone used to popping pills it;s a godsend. I never leave the house with my MJ, but for those who do, this thing can be held in the palm and used so quickly that you appear to be scratching your nose. No smells, no hassles. With two batteries, your set to go, 3 even better!

This looks pretty darn cool. I just ordered one after seeing vids and reviews. I'll come back on here and post my own opinon after I get it.

I used to have a volcano awhile back but im too short on change to buy a really nice vape. I really want a vape because its so much nicer than smoking, and i dont smoke near as much as i used to so i think this will work fine. Thanks for sharing!

This is a neat little gadget for $80. I liek it because I can set it at night and grab it for an instant hit or two woth no lighters and waiting for heating. Ya just must remember to pull the battery out. LOL I left it in a few times and fell back asleep. No fires or so, just the herb was all burnt up until the battery died. It does take soem practice. I have an Iolite too... I fear to fall asleep and leave this in bed with me! It also seems to burn the herb and I taste plastic too. Ick

What happened to your volcano? Those things cost a budle.

If I ever live somewhere legal, my choice for a bedside vape might be the Purple Daze (I think is the name) you can leave it turned on always ad just put in a fresh tube with herb which you can keep ready. I am on the move from 220 to 110 cvolt, so a bad thought for this. Also, it's very portable and sneaky. This might be the option for the qickest most effective way to get results, then keep the tiny Launchbox handy for 3am fumblings. :-)

I hope you like it! The customer service was great. My battery charger only worked on one side. I emailed and they sent a new one. No hassles! I thnik it has a lifetiem gurantee? Hard to break it with no parts. If you want to smoek it, just breath in more slowly. I'm very allergic to cigarette smoke but find this smoke (usually by accident) much less harsh. Even torched, it's not actualy catching on fire or leavign ashes.... just blackened herb. :-)) All goes into a jar for tincture, or i eat it and get a second use.

You cetainly can't compare this simple gadget to a volcano, but if using it for medicine there is nothing faster or simpler to stick in you pocket! I have enough vapor left in my breathe to fill a plastic bag, then breathe again later.

I sold my volcano to a friend before I left the US to live in the middle east for awhile. I'm back now

I also wanted something really portable for those late night on campus (library, labs, etc.) when I would love to grab a small puff to chill out a bit. I find it really helps my ADHD too

Ok so I got my launch box and I have to say after all the hype I'm pretty disappointed.

I just vaped the hell out of a tiny pinch of weed and im super high right now. Ok so if you get one just remember this:

1) Get your stuff ground up as much as possible. After the first vape, pull the herb out and powder it more now that its nice and crispy.

2)Check for vapor by pulling a little bit into your mouth and exhaling, if you see obvious visible vapor then just keep drawing on the tube at a rate that keeps the air coming out nice and warm.

Thats about it. Im gonna go buy some more rechargeable batteries for this thing

Yup, my Silver Surfer (same mfg as buddah), was an excellent deal....245.00 shipped to canada.

Wouldnt trade it for anything...warms up in 5 minutes....awesome milky hits.

For those looking for more data on vaporizers....Fuck Combustion - Vaporizer Forum is the place to go....

They did beta testing on the launch tube/box and it really didnt stack up well...

Ok ya so its been awhile longer and I really love this litte vape.

I use weed like medicine. I take 1 hit at a time until I feel I'm in a comfortable state of body and mind. Just a second ago I pulled out the vape and was able to take a vapor filled puff within 10 seconds. Even when I had the volcano I still had to wait a few minutes for it to warm up, prepare a bowl, etc... With the launch box I just keep the unit filled and take a hit any time I want.

Also, yes it is very efficient. You can bake it till its almost black and get every little drop out, or you can toss it when its golden brown so you only get the best high.
