Montel Jordan( The Talk Show Host ) has a lot of commericals about MJ

Medical purposes on MS. He had a show about it that I saw and he was really

mad that the government has people say that MJ doesn't help people with MS.

I think Montel cryed like 3 times talk about MJ ( He must really love it ), I

think it has something to do with he wanting to killing himself because he

couldn't take the pain. But Mj and the thought of his family didn't let him ( He

uses Mj anyways of course ). God Bless Montel and anyone who goes

through these type of things ...

VickiFL is beginning to sprout.

I have been using marijuana for medical purposes for over a year now. I got my first vaporizer 8 months ago, and have found that helps me a lot. As well as consuming it. It helps my pain, nausea, and many other things.

I know that it sounds really bad saying that it helps my depression, but it really does and I love it. Takes all my depressing out of my head.

When my WW grow is cured I'm hoping to reduce my usage of other adult substances.

My wife suffers from Fibromyalgia, Myofacial pain Chronic pain & IBS. MJ has helped her immensely. When she tested positive for MJ at the pain clinic (takes some pretty heavy duty scripts to get by & has to go for regular visits) she goes to they told her she had 2 choices, either get a medical marijuana card or give it up otherwise no pain meds. Fortuntely we live in a state that has Medical Marijuana laws so we pursued getting a card & are now legal, at least at the state level.

Of course as her official appointed cardholding caregiver, quality control is one of my main responsibilities. The escape of Indoor Gardening is an added bonus.

I was injured in the military and have severe permanent nerve damage in my feet and legs. I have had multiple surgeries and suffer from severe pain.

For 2 years I was put on a routine of life destroying narcotics. 200mg a day of the dreaded oxycontin, injectable hydromorphine, demerol you name it I was probably on it. At very high levels these drugs worked but the side effects where so severe that it was impossible to live a normal life. I was sick all the time, I lost 30 lbs and was unable to do much day to day.

After living this nightmare for 2 years I switched doctors and was gradually switched from these huge levels of narcotics to a mild dose of methadone and cannabis. I now take 10mg of methadone twice a day and use 4 grams of cannabis. I am able to live my life again, put on wieght and not slipping into the grips of a horrible narcotic addiction.

The state I live in is not as acomidating as California. There is no real safe access to speak of. I have had to be very proactive to supply myself with what I need to grow. It has been an interesting learning experience.

I find that cannabis does not take pain away the same way that narcotics do but it dulls it enough to be tolerable. It also helps greatly with the nausea that is a very unpleasant side effect of the methadone. It comes down to this by using cannabis I have been able to cut the amount of narcotics I take by 75%. It has also allowed me to increase my activity level to the point that I can live a productive life.

The information I have gained through this site has made it possible for me to safely grow my own medicine. This is why I for one hope that the community here will continue to hold the standards it has. I just don't want to see the community many people depend on for information taken away because of irresponsible actions.

Just realized I made a typo in my post

I use 4 grams of cannabis a week not a day. 4G's a day would be too much for me. Thanks for the nod Torch I tried to do the same after reading your post but you where the last person I left feedback for so I have to wait.

Greetings folks --

I am an individual with bi-polar depression (rapid cycling hypomanic) formerly called manic depression.

On a medical basis (as opposed to my recreational usage) I have found cannabis to be the only effective, and an extremely effective, short acting intense euphoric useful in counter-acting a bipolar depressive crisis, including a severe crisis with suicidal ideation I am comfortable using.

It is not a replacement for my prescribed medications which include an anti-depressant (paroxetine), anti-axiolytic (buspirone) , and mood stabilizer (the anti-epileptic drug topomirate) but it is an adjunt to my medication regimen when necessary for this purpose.
