Hello everyone Was wondering if anyone has tried certain strains that have specific obvious physical medicinal effects. For example I have heard of certain strains that help w/ cramps,headaches,IBS,etc...... I have nausea at times and a hard hitting indica seems to help it greatly. Heady sativas seem to have the opposite effects. Anyone recommend a good one for sinus headaches? ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This is a good idea. If you use a particular strain because it helps with a particular illness, that info would be great to share with others. I'll gather my thoughts after dinner and post about white rhino.

...offended or not with Quote:
I just hope, NewGrowth, that you might humor the in-firmed dr0p, your mileage may vary, but I've always found that the weed Mexican side of the border tended to make my sinus headaches worse...Very high quality erb (I haven't consumed commercial weed since '87) will sometimes temporarily ease the pain... I also combine my Rx meds(as recommended)...but the addition of my herbal treatments allows me to use up to 75% less morphine on a daily basis. JW | |||

![]() ![]() | Yes JW I find humor in many things for in life if you do not you are doomed to one without laughter. I have a friend that died of aggresive pancreatic cancer I was able to supply her with marijuana near the end of her life it helped to ease her pain tremendously(NL helped with pain for the record). She was able to have a wedding in the hospital where she married her long time fiance she was only 30yrs old when she died. So JW not to offend but the laws of impermanence operate across the universe percived or not "everyone dies, nothing last forever"-NG

Over 500 patients have weighed in on the type of cannabis that best treats their disorders. The results are:
AAMC is aware that different strains help different types of medical conditions. Migraine, for instance, seems to respond best to Sativa's while muscle spasticity is best relieved by Indica. Sativa's tend to be higher in THC and CBN (Cannabinol) while Indica's tend to be higher in CBD (Cannabidiol). THC is the psychoactive component of cannabis responsible for the "high". CBN is a degradation product that can produce sleepiness and CBD is a nonpsychoactive agent whose mechanism of action is unknown. Interestingly, one out of every five respondents (96) doesn't know what strain they use and another one out of five chose a 50/50 mix. Apparently it's not a major concern for these folks or they like aspects of both strains. Of the balance 38% prefer Indica or Indica dominant to 26% who prefer Sativa or Sativa dominant. One could say that Indica's are a clear winner but not by much. Without laboratory analysis of Cannabinoid profiles, a scientific finding is impossible. What is evident, though, is that most patients do know what works for them and it varies depending upon condition(s). SOURCE: http://www.letfreedomgrow.com/ Peace bro. ![]()
