What is the policy on out-of-state membership/attendance at clubs and co-ops? Two neighboring states (Maine and Rhode Island) have medical use provisions but mine does not. And I do travel sometimes for work - in fact I went to the Bay area weekly for 2 years I've considered seeking out clubs but I'm not sure if they'll take me.

I honestly don't know but if I were to hazard a guess, I would guess that you would have to prove you are a MM patient, which would mean showing a Doctor's Scrip approving you for MM use.

Easiest way to find out would be to call up a club/co-op and ask.

Ahh, good ol' Maine. miss those good buds. Those medi-pot provisions you are talking about are the biggest joke in all of legislature. How can you legalize medical use of a previously illegal substance, and not provide programs and/or co-ops to obtain the still-illegal substance? In allowing medical use, they should also provide a safe-haven, or even some funding to start a community or network of medical users. Instead, legal users are forced to turn to the black market (dealers or growing, either way its felonious).

That's the case in RI as we speak. The state government is saying "Sure, smoke all the pot you want if your doctor says so, but if we catch you trying to OBTAIN that shit, you're still going to jail."

Sounds like your classic "bait and catch" scheme to me.

I long to see a cannabis medical group in every state, helping those that are in need of the herb.

to get a doctors recommendation u need a CA liceance. At least thats how it is here. If u live in the bay area like SF see a SF doctor but if u live east or anyware else see a Norcal doctor or Medicann. and get ur card at OCBC

I don't think you can buy from a club in one state, if your medical card is from another. I might be wrong on this one.
