Start A Fluoro Grow Only Forum!

A lot of people on the site only use fluoro's to grow with. There is a quite the cult following for it. I personally do, and I enjoy reading fluoro' threads, I would love to see a forum for all us fluoro junkies. Please set this up, I am sure that it will be a great addition to your allready sweet site!

Start a grow journal with that in the title and I am sure that will draw other all-floro growers in your thread.

It would be a lot easier if you were to seperate your lighting sections ex.

HID
Fluoro
Other

how hard is that?

subdividing the lighting forum into 2 new forums is alot diff then starting a whole new forurm dedicated to a Floro growing only forum ... which is what i got from your first post.


I'll think on it .. it maybe not be a bad idea...

For those just starting out, I think it might not be a bad place to research their flouro lighting options...and possible results one can expect.

But then the MHers & HPSers would want their own sub forums too.And what if,like me,you use Fluoros & MH.Alot of people here use combos of light.I started out with just Fluoros,now I combo.We need our own sub forum too & so do the Fluoro/HPS & the HPS/MH too.Before long thered be so many forums & sub forums itd be a huge mess.Ive seen it on other boards.It gets kinda confusing for the members & mods alike.The one benefit to a Fluoro only sub forum would be the Fluoro growers wouldnt get haranged by the HIDers as much.But thats not been happening as much as it used to anyway.Used to be a Fluoro question was answered with,'Go buy a HID'.That kinda peeved me,but oh well,Id scratch my arse till I got glad again.I do think ONE reason Fluoro grows were looked down upon was that for a while there,while I was lurkin mostly,alot of Fluoro growers turned out to be underage.Thats just my observation.I point no fingers.
Sorry my Fluoro brethren,I dont think a sub forum is needed.Though if there were one Id participate.
Ok,Im off to learn more on Fluoros now.Cause they friggin rock!

Yeah, sounds like a good idea. My thinking is.... the seperate forum for floro would be good for all the new growers who cannot afford the other lights at the start. Might cut down on ALL the repeat questions in this area & eliminate some of the confusion about lighting while they're learning.

On the one hand, everytime we get a new forum it feels we are segregating ourselves more from just being growers.
On the other hand, fluo users do have their own particular problems/circumstances that hid growers don't. Lack of heat/lumensity for starters.

Fgid1 has a good point about everyone wanting their own forum and the combination growers, but sometimes I am cynical.
I also agree and am glad that the "buy a hid" crowd quieted down, which makes it friendlier to admit you use a fluorescent.

Personally, I would lean towards "no", not needed. But wouldn't mind if it did go through.

There, how's that for riding the fence and babblespeak.

i'll vote no, not needed too because 1. it is not difficult to search for threads on floro as i did when i first came here looking for the cheap way 2. because the floro growers may not learn about hps as quickly (always looking for the cheap way, which isn't always the best). 3. i kinda like how things are now in lighting, but maybe i could like the changes despite what i just said

I think it's a wonderful idea...I mean outdoor and indoor are seperate cause they are two completely different things....well so are HID, Floro, and Mixtures of Lights...so I say go for it

I normally vote yes on everything except keeping marijuana illegal and taxes
