Request for a technical forum

Hey you lovely mods and admins, I was wondering if it was possibly a good idea to add a tech forum where people could ask us geeks about their computer problems. I think this is a good idea because people access this site via internet, whether it be dial-up, dsl, cable, t# (lucky ) or whatever and they have to at some time experience computer problems. Us geeks and you mods who have computer experience could help people out and fix their problems that could restrict them from accessing this site. If they are like me, then that would surely be hell. Plus i would love to have an offtopic forum like that because i could learn a few things too. I hope you will consider this or just tell me to go away :P . thank you for your time.

This forum would probably be best over at CheapTalk.

But I dunno if we could justify creating it, because I don't think there's really a high demand and number of threads/posts for such a forum.

Well i do agree with the fact that there isnt much demand for it, but i see some questions here and there about can anyone get to this site, or my homepage keeps turning into this, or this happens when i go online. Stuff like that and people could just post in the forum about it and we could help em out. It was just a thought to make life easier for people here, oh well.

Personally I'd rather everyone concentrate on growing, teaching to grow, and smoking/eating/admiring the results. HC.com is here for just that.

I think a puter/tech help fourm is way outside the scope of this site, and would detract from the main focus.

There must be a gazillion puter help sites around, plus your OS has a built in help system already

If anyone has a specific tech issue, related to this site, post it in the Hempcultivation.com fourm and we shall try to address the issue.

Ok so round up a group of members who are tech savy as it seems there are a quite a few on here. Ask them if they would be willing to partipate and then create a sticky letting people know that if they have a problem they can PM or email one of us to try and get some help. I know that I would be more than willing to help out with that. Just a thought maybe It might help some of the those who cant help themselves and may have to go and spend lots a cash for someone to fix it when there is not a problem that needs to be paid for to get fixed. I know this is bad for my buissness but hey you gotta look out for your fellow growers. That seems to be a big reason that everyone is here is to get help from fellow growers. And this is just one more way to help others help themselves.

This is true but the built in help sucks my Ba**s and those help site dont help much if you dont know what is wrong.

i think teets has a point, maybe if the people just knew who we were then it would be better and can receive PMs versus threads in the tiki lounge. Just tryin to lend a helping hand to my fellow growers because after all your you guys are my long lost family.

Just 2 cents from a newbie that can be easly ignored but I'm in with the idea. There is people here that can relate and as a mid-life dude I have very little training It takes alot of my time trying to figure small things out that I need to be doing a search on Mj so I won't post unnessary already answered questions. Thanks for the oppertunity to have a place to make my unworthy comments
