I wonder if a dedicated place to post info about ripoffs & scams encountered by growers might be useful. I just saw a post about a ripoff, and there really is no place to post it, although it's good info to know & have in a centralized place I think it would have to be moderated pretty intensely to make sure reputable businesses don't get unecessarily flamed. I could think of it kind of like feedback on eBay. Perhaps a dedicated subforum in the Tiki Lounge would encourage legit posts from long term users and avoid trolls? Thoughts? ~cb

I used to spend a lot of time on another forum for a sport I used to take part in. It was like the only forum for our sport so everyone used it, besides the huge number of users we had people who didnt join and just browsed on there everyday. There was a lot of rip-offs and scams going on and upset people would post telling everyone how this man ripped them off. Alot of times the guy who apparently ripped off someone got on the forum to defend himself and set things right. Theyres not a whole lot of selling going on this forum, unlike the other one we sold old racing parts all the time. But the guy who owned the forums and administrated them set up a sub-forum for problems like scams and so on. It was like opening a kennel on a hundred mean pitbulls and all hell broke loose. But after a while he got that forum under control and it really helps others before they get scammed.like you said about only letting long term users post it would be the only way to go with a forum on that subjuect. just my opinion hope it helps | ||
