The photo club / forum

Hello all I know this does not deal with the growing of MJ but it is something that almost all of us use to help our posts and that is pictures. One picture is worth a thousand words......many questions deal with the taking of pictures and uploading of pictures, the size of pic's, resizing pic's and on and on.

Maybe it is time to start a photo club forum, the benifits could be great for everybody, though the correct use of photo's maybe we could save a little sever space, speed up the loading of pages, teach people how to take better pic's { if I had a penny for every under exposed, over exposed, blurry, out of foucus picture I've seen on this site in the last 9 month's I could now retire as a wealthy person}.

After all a posted picture is one of the tools we use to help us explain our problems we are having, or how to solve a problem or what something should look like etc.....Maybe tie it in with POTW.......

What do you all think? What helps one person helps us all, so maybe we need to help people learn how to use this tool also as it relates to our HC.com site

I think that would be a nifty concept

I had suggested (some time ago) that xlite start a sort of "photo school/club thingy" on here someplace but I guess the question was always where to put it...

xjo has some tight photo skills as well

I have PMed them both on multiple occasions requesting assistance (for which I received rapid replies) but alas a photographer is only as good as his tools and my tools, while satisfactory, are still not sufficient for the level of photograpic excellence that I wish to achieve.

So basically I could use a digital SLR by Nikon or Canon, along with some high quality macro lenses... and a nifty thread/forum full of photo tips wouldn't bother me in the least

That sounds good, am relatively new to posting pics and would love to learn some of the tricks of the trade. Love looking at peoples pics to, so this helps people post better quality pics it's all good.

If it doesn't get picked up (your forum idea), please consider starting a thread; maybe something like The Fillabong Show, where you (or whoever) could choose a weekly topic and give advice.

Being this is a cultivation website and not a photography one we won't be dedicating a forum (or sub forum) to photography.
However, a good thread in the Visual Inspirations forum concerning photography tips and tricks of the trade would be a sticky candidate.

Actually, yes we do.

Do we all use the search function like we should? Perhaps not.

Do we all have time to browse through the 4000 results that said search will return? Perhaps not either...
