so i have read and read and read. i am curious as to what the suggested regiment for moalsses use is, per delta if possible, and the suggested start and finishing points for use. today marks the beginning of week 7 and i intend to begin flushing in the next 5 - 1o days at the ladies suggestion. i am well versed in the drying/curing process as a result of reading as much as possible here and at og. i am very interested in what the overall explanation for the molasses is and what the suggested use is for this additive. do i only use it to flush the soil ? ? ? and do i do this prior to removing them from the light ? thank you all for your time and attention. peace.love. p.a.

![]() | From what I have read the sugars suppose to aid in budding. Since plants use sugars to flower. Some say it helps alot ,bigger buds ect. I have not tried it yet for I have not found enough info on the subject. What I have read had mixed reviews. So if some one knows more please file in the blanks. Grow on! Smoke on!

![]() ![]() ![]() | I've heard OzGrowa speak about using molasses or a sugar mix recipe towards the end of flowering in hydro set ups- it mimics some microbial action that happens normally in soil grows. I do remember the Delta thread about molasses in soil, but I would not try this without some very precise directions from a master grower. Even then, I would have to ask just what are we accomplishing here? And is it really necessary? Sugar+soil looks like it would cause bacterial problems. I'm not naysaying the idea so much as advising caution and research.

![]() | 3hounds has just explained why I have not messed with it yet. I have not seen enough info to even come close to making such a choice. So i will continue doing it the way I have been until someone comes up with a really good explanation why and how I should. Grow on! Smoke on!

![]() | Earth Juice Catalyst is additive that goes along with their Grow and Bloom Formulas and it contains Molasses. Believe it or not I've even heard of people injecting the base of the stem with a hypodermic needle with blueberry juice/syrup.... but take that one with a grain of salt from what I understnad sugars do help mj motabalism and the sugars theoretically should help flavor

![]() | Read here. http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/s...d&pagenumber=2 This is a good one too. http://www.hempcultivation.com/420/s...ht=citric+acid Mix it like oz says and it should work. If you use too much it will make a scum on your roots and kill your plants. peace

![]() | i use raw cane sugar (organic) during the last 2 weeks of flowering.. it does help A LOT... its added at the rate of 1tsp/gal. the plants absolutely love it... they really show off their love for sugar in the size and quality of the bud... it works best when used with nutez.. one word of advice though, only use raw cane sugar, NOT refined.. our bodies have a real hard time breaking down refined sugar, and so do the plants.. as far as bacterial problems as 3hounds has mentioned, i have been using it for quite a long time in soilless mixes, and never seen/had a problem with it before.. hope this helps all.
