![]() | have you gone to the website lab_rat? like smokeaspliff says, they have really hyped advertising, but they really seem to beat around the bush (pun intended)when it comes to really saying anything, i only use it by the gallon and i got an eye dropper, but since you mixe for 5 gals, a cap sounds about right to me, i suggest you ask this in the hydro section if you havent already ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hello, Superthrive is simply Vitamin A,B,C,D,E and K with IBA and 1-Naa, two hormones that control elongation and can be used to promote rooting. The rest of the solution is water. The misleading and almost fraudulent advertising of this company annoys me, nothing but promises for an average product, sure it works but the cost and all... Superthrive I find is real handy for cloning, but dont overuse it as the 1-NAA becomes inhibitory if too much is used, in other words it stops the plants rooting. IBA also causes elongation in flowering, it leaves the buds with large gaps where there should be pungent female flowers, I dont use it ever during flowering for this reason. If you want to give the plants a bit of a kick then simply go to a drugstore and buy some Vitamin B tablets, add small amounts once or twice a week. I give them around a 1/4 of a tablet occasionally, it gives them a nice kick and can help alleviate stress, its good for clones also I find. latz, OzGrowa

![]() | he has the nutrients pretty much right. The balance is tilted towards the B-vitamin, which acts as a cofactor in metabolism. As for the NAA and IBA, these are both synthetic forms of auxin, and have about the some effect on the plant. I have found that unless the plant is growing healthy and vigorously, superthrive is useless. I have heard people swear up and down by this stuff, and I use it, but only when they are healthy, and I don't use it when cloning. The NAA and IBA should help the roots (contrary to above), but I prefer either natural auxins or nothing. There is some literature about this stuff, mostly to find out what the story is, since the company's advertising is pretty shady. All I have seen as far as experimentally proven results is that this stuff does not help sick plants, and that it is only really used when the plant is healthy. I am not sure about cloning, but I would venture to guess that aside from the auxin, it isn't helping or hurting. ![]()

![]() | ![]() I noticed it works with my primrose, but as for the mary jane i am not sure. It says it's good for bare root soaking, so maybe transplanting. The place i bought it from said they had satisfied customers. But how many were using it for bud? who knows. IT is made of Vitamin B1 and acetic acid.
